Well the thesurvivor2299 website is fake but Fallout 4 is definitely happening. Honestly I don't really mind the website being fake. It gave us stuff to talk about and the Fallout subreddit certainly got a workout. Whomever did the website is clearly a fan and I think it did some good in stirring a little extra hype for Bethesda.
In two years you can probably get the same GPU and CPU power with a $1,000 budget. Seriously. With Nvidia moving to Maxwell and Intel moving to the 14nm Broadwell (and AMD hopefully offering their own solutions to keep prices in check) PC will once again see a pretty massive boost in gaming performance.
Never underestimate the Internet's inability to get a joke.
Kinda like "80% of the time, it works every time".
I'm a big fan of JRPGs. In fact I've ripped my entire PS2 library, including my JRPG collection and can play it on my PC through PCSX2 with way better graphics and a save state option. On PC you can play just about every JRPG out there (like those from SNES, PSX, PS2, Gamecube, Wii) except for the ones on PS3 and X360. What the guy from Nvidia was saying is that people shouldn't limit themselves to PS4 or X1 when thinking of next gen, not just in terms of power but in pure gaming ...
What would make it the worst VGA ever though? 343 announces that the new Halo is in fact Halo Spartan Assault 2. Bethesda will be releasing a Fallout but exclusively for mobile. Naughty Dog will dedicate their next 4 years to their dream project of a Crash Bandicoot MMO... for PS3.
Who needs money anyway? Today $17 got me Rouge Legacy, Trials Evolution Gold Edition and Skyrim. After this we still have the winter sale to look forward to.
I'm thankful for the steam machine I just got. Not the Valve system but the gadget that blasts steam in my face to keep my pores large and supple.
I think it'd be better to wait for the non-reference cooler R9 290. Non X variant. Price to performance ratio is considerably better than a jump from 7870 to 7970. Or at least that's what many benchmarks around the net suggest.
It's a combination of both. As in Pure Stupidity.
I really don't think that building a PC to match the consoles specs because of pricing alone is a good idea. If you're gonna take the plunge into PC gaming it would be better to invest in a decent CPU and GPU from the start. An i5k CPU paired with a GTX 770 or R9 280X has you covered on 1080p and 60 FPS for years and years to come.
They also found an arsenal of weapons and ammunition. That's kind of a bigger deal.
Hopefully that life will extend to other systems.
Oh boy. It's always great when an upgrade just obliterates what you had before. Hopefully a 7970 at $240?
Cake?
Actually I know a lot about computers. The Xbox One APU is actually more powerful than than two GTX 780 Ti's or two R9 290X. Check the misterxmedia blog so that you can see the light.
Hope no more MRMagoo123 for I am not THAT stupid. Kudos to you and MightyNoX for spotting sarcasm with out the aid of /s.
That might be my favorite reaction gif of all time. Thank you.
PC is missing some console exclusives but consoles are missing whole GENRES of games. MMOs, RTSs, MOBAs and God-Games are not exactly killing it on consoles.
