The last year's E3 trailer already hinted the multiplayer (as seen/discussed in GamerXplain). As to how it works that's anybody's guess. No choice but to wait and see but damn it's really hard to do without any info for so long.
Seems that they saw the joke trailer made a while ago and liked the idea.

Actually in Samurai Warriors Chronicles 2 for 3ds there was a Link and a Samus character or skin(not really sure which). But it never got released stateside.

For a game that supposedly "NO ONE cares about" and on a console that "NO ONE wants", sure it's getting a heck ton of attention. So much hipocrisy, so much butthurt-ness.
Either Cough up the cash and buy a Wii-u or shut up. If you truly don't care for Bayo, you shouldn't be causing this much ruckus.
If I want a game BADLY that's not available on Wii-U, I'll buy whatever console it is for, since I am a multi-console gamer. The same app...
Yeah as successful as a southpaw boxer missing his left arm. It's the system's main draw, for goodness sake! It's what makes it different from other systems It's not like the 3D in the 3DS which is only a (neat)visual effect. And the gamepad hasn't yet fully exploited in its use yet (tho there are games that use it REALLY well, like Deus EX:HR and ZombiU, for example).
As guitarded77 said, I'd DEFINITELY recommend the Zelda bundle, tho the Luigi bundle is VERY attractive too! But that darned Zelda game is so stellar and you get a golden 3DS too.
Agreed. They speak about Nintendo "gimmick this, gimmick that", but they don't see that the "1080p 60fps" is the BIGGEST gimmick out there this generation.
Well... Definitely I DO NOT find wasting $300($350 a year ago), $400 or $500 just for a few minutes of laughs as pure genius. Some people work hard to save that kind of money you know. If I am in a line and witness that, I'll admit that I'll get a good chuckle but it will be followed by a classic "what a moron!".
Given x360s sales numbers over there, if that is any indication, it wouldn't be much of a difference, but only time will tell.
