If we're talking about graphics alone, Guerilla Games should be on that list somewhere.
So basically, he wrote an article about the sales of Gears of War and Halo to make himself feel better?
Perfect!
It doesn't matter how powerful it is, developers will never pour millions of dollars into developing an ipad game, only to sell it for $5 on the app store.
For that reason alone, you will never see console quality games on the ipad, you might see a crappy port here and there but that's it.
No probably not, but they could prep a CGI trailer just to get people excited for it.
It has to be a Mario game for Wii U or Super Smash Bros, right? I feel like those are the only game announcements that would truly be considered "huge"
Its not going to be Zelda with Skyward Sword right around the corner, Metroid is a possibility too I guess.
@NathanExplosion
A bubble for you, good sir.
No, nothing confirmed yet, but if this somehow ends up being true, its a disaster for Nintendo.
People don't want to admit it but if the Wii U flops, they could be strictly a software company in the near future.
Its sad to think about, but imagine how many copies of Mario they would sell between smart phones, tablets and game consoles. Nuts.
OwlBro
Why not beat MS to market tho?
They would literally crap their pants if Sony released a $399 PS4 before the next Xbox comes out.
Guess what Sony, Uncharted 3 and Rage are about to max out the PS3. Better start prepping those dev kits. 2013 BABY! 2013!
In the words of Peter Griffin: "Now we play the waiting game."
A new model, an attachment for a second circle pad and a new name for the system??
Why not just release a new freaking system at that point?
This sounds like BS.
Its not going to "fail" but there is no chance of this ever being as successful as Nintendo thought it would.
I'll say Vita sells 65 million in its lifetime and 3DS around 75 (on the high-end)
It could be a tight race between Vita and 3DS over the next few years. Its gonna be interesting to watch it play out.
Well, that was informative.
With Kinect, it already is dangerous.
They won't drop it until mid November.
The PS3 price cut doesn't affect the Vita at all. Why do people keep bringing this up?
If you buy a PS3 instead of a Vita, why would Sony care? All the money goes to to the same place anyways.
Now if you buy a Wii U or an ipad instead of a Vita, that's a different story.
I love how all of the sudden everyone is bringing up potential issues that could ruin the PSVita launch and everyone raving about how big of a holiday season the 3DS will have. Two weeks ago, it was the complete opposite. People spend $600 on tablets like nothing. $250 for Vita is more than fair.
The system is priced right, its launching with AAA games and the hardware is a step above anything else on the market. The Vita will pick up tons of hype around the launch and should...
Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet are 1a and 1b for my favorites this gen.
