DP, sorry.
Wow, I forgot all about this game.
I think I like the name "Ruin" more, but oh well. Definitely picking this one up when it comes out.
I'll take five.
Oh wait, no I wont. Because that's a ripoff.
That's a disappointment.
My first games were going to be Uncharted and MNR. I'll probably go with Rayman: Origins instead now.
I don't see why they would leave out MP on a kart racing game that is being touted as a marquee launch title.
Or maybe they should band together to defeat the real enemy here, apple.
Maybe they know something we don't? This is probably a load of crap tho.
If one of them does call it quits next-gen, I would have to think its Microsoft. They could possibly see the industry shifting towards tablets and smartphones and decide to go that route instead by releasing an xbox tablet to compete against the ipad (that was rumored a few days ago, right?). That and a little over a year ago, I believe, there was an article that claimed MS investors weren't happ...
I think they're making a mistake by using a resistive touch screen instead of capacitive. And only one camera? They should throw a rear facing camera on there.
Other than that, I think its a pretty cool controller. Can't wait to see what devs do with it.
Gran Turismo 5 should be on there somewhere.
Thanks for the heads-up, Jaffe. I'm still buying it day one.
Twisted Metal was one of my favorites growing up, can't wait to take this online.
I would jump all over this deal if they had it for the US.
E3 is what, 5 or 6 months away?
We might get an announcement leading up to E3, but I'd rather they wait.
It would probably be for the best. If the circle pad pro attachment is a success, I think it will happen eventually. For now tho, I don't think its needed. Its doing just fine without it and why would you want to piss off millions of existing 3DS owners? Just stick with the current model until sales start to show a consistent decline. Right now, they have a lot of momentum, don't try to mess with a good thing.
I've been waiting to play Rayman until I get my Vita.
Definitely playing that after I finish Uncharted.
If I was in charge over at Sony, I would actually consider holding a short, to the point press conference online to explain this situation to people who clearly don't understand it.
I'd bring up the sales figures to show it was the second most successful Japanese launch of any PS device. Explain that all of them saw a VERY similar drop off in sales the following week(s) and hell, maybe even announce a new game or something. That would probably slow down these articles...
The Vita will be fine, I really don't understand these articles.
Its not like there are millions of PlayStation Vitas sitting on shelves in Japan, (as far as I know) they are still on the initial shipment of 500,000 units. They've sold roughly 450,000 units so far. Most of the remaining stock I'm imagine are the 3g model which they're having a hard time moving. Its simple, get more wifi units out there, the sales should go up.
So I guess if I ...
Thank you, Destructiod, for being one of very few sites that are not completely overreacting.
As someone who actually enjoys their podcasts and is an occasional reader, I have to say I have lost a lot of respect for IGN lately.
Hes basically aiming the Vita at the sun, taking a picture and then comparing it to pics he took with the iphone and 3ds, only those pics are at much better angles with better lighting. I'm not saying the Vita has a better camera than the iphone or anything, because it doesn't, but this is complete crap.
Pathetic, if yo...
I think we'll see a holiday bundle for Christmas 2012 for $199 that gets you a wifi Vita, a 4gb memory card and a game or two.
I'll say the price is cut shortly after that.
Yep, unfortunately that's what most of these gaming media outlets do. They throw together flamebait articles to attract hits and encourage trolling, as opposed to writing well thought out articles that they put time and research into.
