Such an odd score. 8.3. How do they calculate the score I wonder? Given that the score can increment 1/10 of a point over 10 points, the score is based on 0 - 100 score like a grade school test.
Yeah, I thought exactly the same thing when I first tried out the live-stream gameplay on PS4. A great way to see what the gameplay actually is like. Video reviews are nice but given the time constraints and the points that reviewers like to cover in their reviews, you don't always get a good feel for the gameplay.
It is newsworthy because a pillar of a news agency's credibility is its accuracy, its fact checking abilities. An error this fundamental tarnishes credibility -- not a good thing for any news agency.
I think the $100 price difference is the driving factor in why the Xbox One sales are forecast to be lower than PS4 sales.
Amy already received a 6/10 from a website called Golden4games. It looks like it's written in Arabic or something.
Of course Nintendo cares about what competitors are doing! As Nintendo has stated in the past, it follows the Blue Ocean strategy -- creating a market where there was initially none -- vs. Red Ocean -- where competitors vie within an established market.
The Blue Ocean strategy in itself must take into account what competitors are doing since Blue Ocean is, in large part, defined by what Red Ocean is not. Thus Nintendo does care about what the competitors are doing. In fact, t...
Jared, the answer to your question about why the PS3's greater number of exclusives has not translated into superior sales I think lies in the fact that there are many factors that impact sales numbers other than the amount of exclusives.
For example, the price differential between the PS3 and Xbox 360 this generation has played a large role in why the PS3 hasn't outstripped the Xbox 360 in sales. The Xbox 360 also had a one year head start in sales.
The quote "ticket to the coolest party," which was attributed to Don Mattrick, was pulled from a video shown at the 2010 CES keynote. If you're interested in seeing the video, go to the URL below and click on the link titled "Keynote Highlight: "Project Natal" ready for the Holidays".

Mattrick appears a couple of time...
A flamebait article. I'm sorry I wasted my time reading it.
It will be interesting to see if Microsoft creates a peripheral that will be used in conjunction with Natal. As Saaking points out, a core message in the Natal marketing is "no controller required."
It'd be nice if this article's writer checked the story's facts. The EyeToy is the camera used with the Playstation 2. The camera used with the Playstation 3 is called the Playstation Eye.
Although the PS3 has its own Web browser, it can't be used to stream Netflix movies from the Netflix Website since Netflix switched from Adobe's Flash video format to the Microsoft Silverlight video format.
I currently use the Playon media server to stream Netflix movies from a Windows-based laptop to my PS3 and would really like to see Netflix provide the option of streaming movies DIRECTLY through the PS3 whether by a program on a disk or a program integrated into the PS3 firmw...
I was thinking the same thing. An excellent family bundle.
Just tried out the PS3 optimized-version of Joost. I works really well. I'm watching a Beyonce music video the the picture quality is really good (though the video is black-and-white, which is requires less bandwidth to render than a comparable color video).
I've bookmarked this on my PS3 and can't wait until the content from the missing content providers becomes available!
I think Epic should be given kudos for their monumental effort in developing such a generous update. Getting split screen is an unexpected surprise given that Epic originally stated they would not develop a split screen patch for the PS3. And trophies are welcome anytime in my book!
I turned on my PS3 about 30 minutes ago and got a message to download the v. 2.50 update. I like the flash 9.0 support.
It's probably the same reason that European releases of games sometimes occur after the Japan/U.S. releases. Europe is comprised of many countries, with different languages/currencies, etc. so game localization takes time.
I'm sure it's a large effort to get the data for the U.S. and Japanese markets which are each comprised of one country per market. Imagine the difficulties of collecting similar data from multiple countries....

When your in the Playstation store, click on the button "Downloads" located on the upper right corner of the screen. This will pull up a list of the games/free video trailers/etc. that you've downloaded in the past.
Scroll through the list for the Qore annual subscription listing. The Qore August edition should be right above it. Click on the download button and you're all set!!
woof!
Lookin' good. Lookin' really good! Can't wait until October....
Hmm, this tip helped with some youtube videos but I still frequently get a message saying I need to download the latest flash player. This is when I try to play videos on the youtube.com website (after I type in www.youtube.com/html5). I cannot wait until the PS4 launches the native youtube app!!
