Although I disagree with you about the Wii U not being good I do agree that Sony is delivering a great gaming experience for the "hardcore" crowd. PS+ is great.
The Wii U does look to replace my PS3 as my primary media HUB and possibly on 3rd party games because of it possibility of higher performance and new dimension of the best second screen integration and ability to play any game on the smaller screen including great classics that don't look so hot on a 42...
I love VI, VII and X
I like I, IV, IX, XIII, XIII-2 and XV
I dislike II, III, VIII, X-2, and XII
I have no opinion of V or XI
The point is none of the above games are truely bad games however i didnt enjoy them all, they are all solid experiences.
Yeah and there are people who still like the XIII series so I don't think it would be fair to them to not finish it.
Nobody ever thinks of the fans that LIKE XIII.
I think what many Final Fantasy fans need to realize and should have already realized is that each installment I-XIII are all completely different tales with their own characters and game mechanics. Everybody will have the ones they love and hate. If you don't like XIII wait for the next installment, I know many people that hated XII but love XIII and vise versa.

Seeing as how gamers these days are the most self entitled assholes in the world they will cry foul if the controller is over $80 where as in reality it should be between $100 and $150...$150 being the absolute tops... People forget that they pay like $100 for a wii fit board or kinect... Both glorified controllers and not even in the same ballpark in terms of ability and features.

Xbox 360 was a pioneer in the fact that you could spend more time with your home console, without booting up a single game.

Some of you need to get over specs and shit. Graphics are fine the way they are now....the Wii U will take what we see now and refine it. The Wii U is more than just a game console now. Finally it was produced and designed intended to be the main media hub in your living room....this is the first console to do that. The PS3 and 360 both offer great media devices but not in this way.
The specs are fine for what this machine wants to and will accomplish.
I have a feeling the Wii U will be the console you regret skipping....especially with its social and entertainment integrations...it seems to be the perfect product at the perfect time.
The fact That IGN put KH2 higher than KH1 shows how credible this list is. Ign themselves gave KH2 a 7.6 and KH1 a 9 yet KH2 is higher than 1. Also Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy IX and Mass Effect 2 are top 10 according to their Metascore.

It's not cancelled...my educated guess is that it is now Final Fantasy XV or another title. We WILL join Noctis and Stella on an adventure.

I really love most things I have read about the Wii U and even already per ordered it but one thing that I assumed would be the ability to play Virtual Console games on the gamepad.I'm also a bit surprised about how much little details about the OS are actually out.
