Nintendo is the only company that is actually passionate about video games and entertaining you through that medium. Microsoft and Sony only saw it as a chance to make money and increase their user base.
Like stragomccloud said if you owned one you would understand. It does things that the my PS3 just can't do. Like for example just yesterday I was streaming Christmas cartoons from YouTube on the TV for my daughter while I was surfing the web on my Gamepad all from the Wii U and it promises to only get better and smooth.out from here.

Just because I purchased a Wii U doesn't mean I won't buy the next Xbox or PlayStation. And tbh I'm in no hurry for them either. My PlayStation 3 and Wii u will keep me very entertained.
