bayonetta is not a new ip. they basically stole that like they did with monster hunter. no one is saying microsoft is starting a new ip with the exclusive tomb raider.

splatoon and devils third are good starts, but nintendo has most certainly sat around for the past oh idk 2 decades off storied franchises, and kept making them easier. the last few full zelda games have been nothing but hold your hands adventures.

says the company implemented an "auto mode" for areas in the game that are too hard for people. they are only doing this to try and win back the core gamers, well, how about starting up some new IPs that dont revolve around donkey kong: country: tropical freeze 2, and now the hd remake.

Trial and error, rinse repeat. Oh hey that's the entire game.

Like how borderlands had really about 100 guns in total, but because u could mix and match parts it was "2 million guns!"

Name one game that actually changes the story completely from a players decision.

Not, get a different ending cutscene.
Not, this character dies, but hey next mission or game it doesnt matter.

Videogame choices are gimmicks right now, some, (TWD,) are better than others.

Judging a story on whether or not you can predict the end is juvenile, not every movie needs to be the six sense or fight club. Its great to have well thought out tw...

"Books use way too many adjectives and waste time describing the scene down to the dust in the carpet to fill pages and make the book longer."

Not all books suffer from that, in fact I'd say those are in the minority. "15 mins in and you know the end," is also an unfortunate argument, you are most likely watching the wrong films. Yes, Rom Coms usually follow the same structure, as do straight up action or save the world movies, but you can say the exac...

I think you are right about the biases that are placed, imo, (with some exception,) the game which does the best it can, for what it is trying to do - should win, regardless of its publisher.

For instance... LIMBO > Red Dead Redemption, because LIMBO was sublime from start to finish. /// Read Dead was the better game overall, but it had some mediocre mission structure and level design.

Games like Skyrim, and Infinite shouldnt be placed on any GotY lists.....

And 5/10 of these games get delayed a year! The other half are let down! Probably.

If we keep buying the same garbage, why do we deserve a four course meal?

But gamers really dont, he is right about that. We keep buying the same damn games over and over

There was some really poorly designed sections if I remember right, controls werent as responsive either. After the last mario you can tell its just rehashing old puzzles and full games at this point. Surprised they havent learned anything by modern platformers like Braid/Limbo/Journey. Galaxy had a great change of pace, but they will probably wait till the wiiu2 to release a brand new mario.

uncharted's had the gameplay to back up their cinematic views and aesthetic, lets hope these guys arent just making another tech demo.

4204d ago 8 agree5 disagreeView comment

Thats a bit unfair.

First of all, the story is pretty good as far as videogames go. The gameplay is mostly just fetching or finding, but the level design is great for what its trying to do. Bioshock infinite is just walking through "cutscenes" to get to the next shoot em up, so its not like the rest of 2013 was anything special, (a few indie games excluded.)

Where as twilight, wouldnt even hit the top 200 movies of the year, Gone Home certainly woul...
