So 8 1/2 and Citizens Kane are somehow a step below the best movies today?
It will probably be better honestly, as amazing as TLoU was, a film adaptation has the potential to be first class.
Review it the way you review games now, its not that hard to put nostalgia aside.
I cant really think of anything to improve, nice work. I might have mentioned something about how different genres handle color differently, shooters tend to drain out colors while platformers and role playing types are more vibrant.
Finally. An article worth reading, as an art student this is a nice writeup. I wish games had more diversity in their color arrangements in general. What is interesting is the more colors you have in a game, (variations,) the harder it is on the engine to render, that is why most games follow strict color themes.
Not enough scripted events? Jesus. I havent played or seen a single minute of gameplay since the reveal last year, that being said, FPS do not need an overkill of scripted events. Its what ruins Call of Duty and ruins that new Bioshock. Just walking around in a cutscene was cool back in Modern Warefare 1, but now its just lazy. Sure games like Half Life and Uncharted pull them off better, but games like Borderlands shine in the other moments.
Save that money and buy some healthy groceries, especially if its going to be two old clunky Zelda games. The only one that has aged well is the one that is not out yet, which once, released will be about 1/4th the quality of RDR.
Gaming is so obsessed with nostalgia its borderline toxic.
Great memories for Fireteam Bravo 1 and MoH Heroes, and Monster Hunter. I bet it costs them less than 5k to keep the servers up at least...
Halo changed what exactly for gaming? About as generic as a sci-fi shooter can get, it had great controls and bright graphics was its thing. Socom had better multiplayer and was released before, Timesplitters had a better level editor, and more robust local MP ages before. Half-Life had the open levels, and more gameplay variation, etc etc.
Woah, better than Halo 3: ODST? That game had like 3 new MP maps a new MP mode and a 4 hour campaign. I doubt it can top that.
What its at least an 8/10 after the zero hours ive played!
I still have no idea what Destiny is.
Guys, the game is probably going to blow. They mentioned gameplay maybe one time out of the 30+ interviews and showcases. It doesnt need to be the fluent gameplay of uncharted or the strategy of socom, but if its boring and limited as it looks currently, reviewers should devour games like these. Ryse sucked. This will suck. Gameplay > Graphics. But, I hope I'm wrong, maybe it will be insane and fun.
They should have just made Timesplitters 4 as a launch title...
Is that even a question.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but this looks like one of those "better on paper," ideas. Im not sure realistically how they plan on making an exciting game, unless the game jumps to a bunch of mini-game scenarios.
good point. ill have to look at that later. my bad.
3/14 are mario games, and those are spinoffs or cash grabs. (2015) is these 14 games predicted date, barring no delays.
PS4, has that many coming out by the end of october 2014.
It had more MP content, and was a MP game. So it had more content for what it was trying to do. I agree Titanfall wasnt the best game, but think a little more critically next time.
