its a good game. but its not really a videogame, it would work as an interactive adventure better on something like a tablet.
pre rendered and cutscenes.
Because it sounds passive agressive. That hospital level was such a low key level compared to what most games have for the climax.
There's like 8 things that are terrible about Infinite... You only figured this now?
Half-life 2 is easily the best game of the last 10 years or so - In terms of pure gameplay.
But how can you say Bioshock is better designed than TLoU? If you look at an overview shot of ANY Bioshock level there are 15 - 20 rooms with each having 2 or 3 splicers patrolling around. In 1 or 2 rooms there is a big daddy. Thats it. Occasionally - I'll say 2 to 3 times there is a scripted event in each level which breaks up the pace. (Plane crashes into a tunnel.)
Id put bioshock in there for what it did at the time, but the game really hasnt aged that well.
Bioshock wins better gameplay???? Lmao. Some of the worst level design by a AAA company was in Infinite. Alls you do is shoot guns or shoot plasmids. And every plasmid does the same thing. Its either a line of fire or a trap. Why cant ppl see this? Hell theres more gameplay variety in the first 2 levels for TLoU then the entire game of infinite.
These look terrible to be honest. They are impressive graphically but they are so unrealistic.
in fact condemned was the best looking and had the smartest a.i. game at the time. http://www.youtube.com/watc...
you could argue half-life 2 i guess.
condemned looked better than fear and that was on 360
that looks incredible.
looks really good for ps2!
Yeah the first really good zombie movie 28 days later had that scenario. Towards the end of the movie the zombies, well, infected starve to death. They also stop chasing after cars, which I thought was a good touch.
And this makes sense how again?
Nintendo games have stories?
Satire.
The gameplay looks effing amazing for a handheld. Reminds me of seeing Tony Hawk for the first time on PSP. Easily as good as the first FPS for 360/PS3 (perfect dark zero / resistance.)
Saying Mass Effect is just as good as films like Star Trek is laughable. Let alone the art house films like Solaris or 2001. That said, I actually would like an option for a game that plays itslelf if there is a section too hard. There are a lot of great games that people just skip because they know they cant beat it.
The article is well written and the main point is interesting, but the title is misleading.
Well, I dont think gearbox was the best choice for what they were trying to do. If they just made the game arcadey like Borderlands it woild have been better. That or get the guys at Monolith who made the first Condemned.
Donkey Kong Pong? Mario Guitario? Mario and the Underwater Kingdom? Zelda Twilight Princess HDD?
