My roommate complained about Rico's cursing, but would take time out to shoot dead helghasts in the head several times just to try to decapitate them... I marvel at the fucked up priorities some people have.
except one of those is MS's focus, the other is Sony's.
the mantra of the 360... lol.
aaaaaand you're done talking...
Where Nintendo's main focus is "look what we're still doing with the same N64/gamecube game's formulas!" Naughty Dog went above and beyond what is expected from AAA games this generation. Narrative, AI, set peices and locales, mo-cap and animations, Sound, (realistic) platforming, weapon mechanics, Online, multiplayer (everything from competitive, to co-op, to making sure there's zero lag), pacing, visuals, hollywood-caliber cinematic flare are things not even on Nin...
He doesn't stomp anyone, as the only thing he's done recently has been repackage mario a million times over.
No other dev has done it (as well) this gen. They made this gen's Orcarina of Time. Yes there are more ambitious titles out there, but U2 is (as it stands now) the game that fires on all cylinders almost perfectly. Name another game that came out this gen that comes closer to "perfection" and "total package" than U2. It offers something for everyone. Visuals, Voice acting and story, gameplay mechanics, replay value all have been executed incredibly well. When the top c...
Seeing how every other doubt has been checked. Crysis 2 will need serious work on it's animations, set peices, and post processing effects to compare to that "living, yet dead enviornment" effect KZ2 had. On PC's Crysis 2 on max settings will be able to push out more polygons but that's about it. Seeing how Crysis 2 on consoles will look like Crysis on medium settings, I'm pretty sure KZ3 will look better.
You missed out on one gigantic hallway my friend!
At least that's what I read in an old Game Informer. I personally thought Heavenly Sword's engine looked/ran better than UE3. Let's hope this game doesn't turn out to be as bad as certain people hoped to make you believe HS was.
Half Life and Bioshock's main focus was single player. (As you see how forgettable Bioshock 2 was when they decided it needed "teh molteeplayur"!) For what it was Killzone 2's single player campaign was solid, it had decent set peices, AI was stellar, made good use of the cover mechanic, and the bolt gun, arc laser, and flamethrower were fun. The multiplayer was pretty deep, as Erotic Sheep pointed out it had clans, medals, etc. not as deep as MW2, but it didn't cater to...
I totally remember jet packs, removable gun turrets with homing missles, melee-death sequences, and snow in KZ2... Totally remember that... You're so right!/s
But I guess you mean the visuals/graphics are similar... Still looks better than anything on any console I've seen.
Too late
If the Insomniac deal was really a back door deal from sony to allow EA to use the manpower from Insomniac to develop a Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 as a Sigma-collection type of thing... I doubt it but it would be funny to read the resulting flood of comments.
even before IGN, Kotaku, etc.? No? Just typical smug hater talk to praise your own e-penis. You spend more time worrying about HHG than he does about you. /rant
On Topic: I don't agree with HHG, because Sony will pass MS this generation with or without Gears staying exclusive. (Cause there are PS3 only owners that will happily buy it if it goes multi, and there are 360 only owners who won't especially after the fiasco with Gears 2's online regardless) I still th...
You really don't get how creative people think. I guarantee you if games were free we'd probably see more risks taken than you think.
Anything by Blizzard kind of laughs at your comment...
Rockstar and Bethesda did amazing things (even to this day) with PS2/xbox 1 hardware. any above average dev can make out dated tech sing, look what Crytech is still capable of doing with DVD. Lets see what these devs can do exclusively on a PS3 and see how well their multiplat/360 efforts stack up. If Agent fails to impress, then you can praise DVD9.
Correct me if I'm wrong but both the eyetoy (Natal) and the move (wii-mote) perephirals were in development during the PS2. before Nintendo basically gave up and decided that being in direct competition with Sony was too hard, or when MS saw how much money Nintendo made, Sony was front and center at developing "new" ideas (which are really just repackaged old ideas) that the casual market has recently been going gaga over. Buzz, Singstar, etc. Sony has given plenty to the casual...
