cus most of the fans of the reboot can't come up with compelling arguments of their own to counter the haters so they just comment on the reviews with good scores to use it against us.
that's what demos and gameplay videos are for brah. When I see the DMC name then I want to play a DMC game and not a game that is just trying to be DMC. Like Jim Sterling say: "the game's good in its own merit" but the point still stands, we want DMC not a game trying to be DMC.
Streamlined gameplay, a butchered combat system for the casual, angsty hipster as protagonist, lots of cursing, tacky sex scenes, more serious tone... This ain't DMC.
because most 3rd party devs developed exclusively for it. But why they did that? It was a combination of the hype, brand name at the time and good timing.
and here we go with the retarded scoring again. =/
I'm a loner and I like off-line games so is not like I need someone to convince me anyway. ;___;
@mr_kubrick
IDC = World Wide sales
NPD = just North America

it's the overall design of the game, is just too serious. Old games were just goofy and cheesy while this is edgy, angsty and there's too much swearing in it. And not to mention how they ruined the battle system. It was like going from SFIV to a Smash Bros game. =/
I was going to write that exact same comment. XD
"However, this game doesn't differ as much from the original DMC games to warrant such a negative reaction."
Are you for real? 0__O
Even NT themselves admitted that Twilight May Cry is a game made for scrubs. The other day they said that this game will make scrubby players feel like pros. =/
But after the demo it’s totally obvious what they did to this series… They ruined it. Stupid slow, ugly and pointless frame-cancels because...
true, I have never seen this much damage control for a game ever. But there's another explanation though... It seems these articles defending the game are racking them up on tons of hits from the haters. Because if you see on every article there are always more haters than anything else.
HELL YES!!
indeed
for some reason gifs always look better than the video itself. The rainbow effect and grain makes it look kind of more artistic but anyway, what with the stupid name? I really don't like the fact of a movie or game sharing the name with its own genre. It's like those silly Move game called The Fight or the Wii with Wii-music, Wii-sport, etc. it's unoriginal.
Apple is overpriced but not garbage.
If you guys at least had a slight understanding of fighting games about cross-ups, mix-ups, set-ups, cancels, etc. and the complexity all these things bring to the table on a 2D fighting game then it wouldn't be hard to understand why so many fans hate the DMC reboot. Because the thing is that you guys simply don't understand the fundamentals that were brought up by DMC3,then expanded by DMC4 and that no other hack & slash game has been able to copy.
Now with the ...
a newspaper doing a game review, what a joke... And to say that it is better than DMC3 the guy most be nuts. But it's understandable, the battle system on the reboot was made for the casuals.
"Combat is crucial to DmC, so you’ll be relieved to hear Ninja Theory have it spot-on. With depth and substance invested, both ---> remaining faithful to the series while adding new potential favourites"
And they are credible... Battle system is in no w...
only when it comes to shooters and certain western rpg's like Skyrim and Mass Effect,= but the PS3 always sells more when it comes to racing games, fighting games, etc. For the past 2 years the PS3 has sold the most software.
how can you even remake a game like this?
unless you're talking about "The World Ends with You", which I haven't played so I can't argue, but if you're saying it because of Kingdom Hearts then you couldn't be more wrong and you clearly don't know what a complex story is.
Kingdom Hearts is just a convoluted and pretentious mess that if it weren't for the Disney chunk to hold it together with their already established background stories the rest wouldn't be nothing more than j...
the game has always been praised by the media since when it was announced 2 years ago so I really have no idea what you're talking about.
