Lol, most of the girls I know could care less if you play video games, I was just kidding around. Most everyone I know plays video games nowadays, even if it's just one game. Hell the girls will usually jump right in and play the game with me hahaha.

The current gen consoles won't "die" as soon as next-gen starts. It's not like everything just stops. I highly doubt that most gamers will jump right into next-gen considering the economy and the issues this gen had at start up. Price tags, hardware issues and so on.
In a way, you are right. But, the Call of Duty games aren't "bad". Their polished games even if they don't introduce something "new". It's a really hard decision to score a game that's good, but not new. You could say the same thing for all the sports games out there too etc and they still get good scores.

I think it all depends on what you are doing the writing for. Money, review copies or just a gamer who likes to share their opinion. It's really great to see developers finally expanding on zombies at least. Instead of just surviving waves and waves of em, they're giving us the open world + survival tactics we've been asking for, for years now.

Who cares if the graphics aren't amazing. The first game was a lot of fun. I'd rather have fun than stare mindlessly at graphics.
Looking at the demographics, you can see the decline in dollar growth in 2005, then 2006 the new consoles came out. The decline started this gen in 2011, no consoles in 2012...so if the trend follows then 2013? Obviously, we'll see em sooner or later, but just found that interesting.
