you might like to believe that but.........dvd would have sold regardless the ps2 and its dvd was not a trojan for the format, it did not keep dvd from dieing, or being defeated by another format.
Regardless if the ps2 used dvd or super cd (like sony wanted it to) dvd would have flourished, dvds were out before ps2 showed up they were eating at vhs sales, price was comming down on stand alones and media.......THE PS2 DID NOT MAKE DVD A SUCCESS....infact its the other way around...

the mandatory digital switch by tv stations from analog not only has been pushed back 5 or so times, it has "NOTHING" to do with "HD" digital signal and "HD" are 2 different things.

like ITR im picking up combo ill get an hd dvd player or 360 addon when they are cheap most hd dvds ive seen are combos which is smart, and the hd dvd version got better reviews for visual quality and extras.
Have a browser microsoft knows better and fears it taking away from comp needs, the wii broswer is the only worthwhile one, because of point and click other wise it sucks cause most sites beyond simple html,css,frames...ect wont work, flash sites, movie avi/divx....ect viewing wont work.
