sony is on a mad dash since the launch because the ps3 wasn't selling, the 20 gig was dreadful and they phased it out, and now they are phasing out the 60 gig infavor of the 80 gig to maintain the price of 600 dollars.
Sony is trying to patch up holes in the boat and if they act fast enough might be able to stay afloat its simply proven by the actions and statemnets of sony.

a testament would be ps3 sales steadly increasing at the 600 dollar price tag, not lowering the price after 7-8 months then a week later kaz announcing the 60 gig will be phased out thats a clearance sale and will only sell so many units.
retail sales have yet to decrease only shipped sales.

allso i like his you cant build a system around one game though ninty has done it the past 2 gens, ms did it and sony did to the ps1 and 2 had a set amount of games all gamers played or owned.
why ps3 and only ps3 games need bluray because more then half use cgi movies and devs dont optimize their code which causes for useless redudent cods in games so they work.
"redendent code" is different from redudent data...devs could shrink games by 50% or more if they optimized coding.

all the target, meijer, and walmarts in my area are full stocked with ps3s.....whats funny is that sony fanboys take this as a good sign when its not its proven 60 gig is no longer produced this is a clearance sale so they can go back to selling 600 systems.

never have seen official numbers....for allmost 4 months wii outsold ps3 7:1 and most of the time sold 4:1...

lol the ps3 isn't selling well its getting a shot of adrenaline into the heart via price drop when the 60gigs are no longer shipped and all thats left is a 600 dollar system with 20 more gigs and a crap game sales will plummit to less then before the temporary price drop.
yep most walmarts have em in stock here the sold out is for walmart.com which has a different stock then retail stores.

how many ps3 users take the time to wade through the endless crap that is user made mods,maps, and skins to find good ones then transfer over via memory stick and hope there isn't some sort of conflict that makes the map/mod/skin unplayable....ill still take geow or halo over ut where to win all you need is get the rocket launcher of which 5 spawn on most maps and just use that...ut has allways been super fast fragging that favors whos got the bigger gun....
