And music is for everyone and movies are for everyone. Tell us God of opinion pieces what music should we all like? Experimental music shouldn't exist ( I personally I can't stand it but it needs to be made for everyone) I suppose David Lynch films should be stricken from the film archives too. Finally an article that is giving From their proper dues. They create complete high quality games and stick to a vision (they all in with their difficulty) without a need to chase trends, in fact their latest game is running away from current trends, which is very rare these days.
40 year old gamer here that returned a year ago from a 20 year break in gaming. I couldn't finish AC Origins and struggling to complete Fallout 4, but Bloodborne is one I had to complete (100%). I get lost in From's games. They remind me of gaming in the 90's with graphics I wish the NES, Sega and even the PS1 had.
There is no shame, because it's kind of stupid to think being good at gaming means anything really. I mean if it's a personal thing then I understand. Then I suppose it's self shaming.

I like the idea, but a lot needs to happen with management before they can jump into a new IP.

It won't take away from the game play (because you can choose not to), it will take away from the experience. From's entire cult following is based on being challenging and hard to access. You take that away, you also take away the mystique these games have i.e. the experience. Seriously you can't believe what you typed, it isn't even possible.
It's a fair and complete game and doesn't play favorites. Get a grip.
Make an honest and transparent assessment and apply.
