But I'll continue to support Sony as long as they live up to their 2007 line-up which looks very promising to me. The 360 would be a steal if it went down to $300, which I doubt, but it focuses heavily on one type of game genre. The 360 could kill if it could just get more variation on its killer titles.

If Sony could, for once, reach their shipment goal of 6Million by March then they will be significantly catching up to the 360. They do have the advantage of all of those ps2 users and if only even a third of them want and can afford a ps3, then they will be successful in selling all of those units out.

You'd think that Sony would try to help these other companies to develop efficient hardware for blu-ray as Sony is like the head supporter for it. Point well made but I think that other manufacturers of Blu ray players will learn to include those features mentioned as necessities. The format will fail if the hardware is not up to speed with its competition. Sony is hoping that PS3 sales will help the format as well and its good to know that they made it with good quality.
Is it sony's fault that Philips decided to make a standalone player that's less than the ps3 or is it the Philips company's fault for not matching Sony's quality?
What's so bad about the ps3 outperforming the standalone players. It just shows the quality of the ps3. I see nothing wrong with this as sony has probably put more money into making their product. It's a much more important investment for sony. I could care less because I don't plan on owning an HDTV for probably 2 years.
I don't get why they can't make it like the ps3's blu-ray player. Why wouldn't they just mirror it?
Blu-Ray has more support in the film industry than hd-dvd though so that means a larger variety in high-def movies.
More titles is never a bad thing and it's not like they're gonna be dumb enough to release all 100 at the same time. IF sony can release 6 million (which i doubt) consoles by march, they will be catching up significantly to MS's lead. And then finally we can start to see some real competition between the two.

This could be cool if you had to track down and hunt your zombie under a certain time period so you wouldn't have to pay, but it's just too much hassle when you have to use your money. Who knows, it might be a downloadable game or something.
