Release date is smack in the middle of Halo and Black Ops. I think this game looks decent, nothing there that's going to stop it getting slaughtered sales wise by the games I mentionede. I think this release date is a disaster. Game needed to launch soon after Bad Company 2 if they wanted it to avoid Halo and COD.
Mikami has taken his trademark QTE from RE4 and used it to good effect in Vanquish. They tried QTE in games like RE5, it didn't work. It was pointless. Mikami used it to make RE4 a much more stylish game, same as Vanquish. God of war 3 uses QTE to great effect too.
Don't use it unless it's really needed, otherwise it's boring and pointless. But when done right it adds a lot to a game even if it is mostly just to show off, but it can make those boss fights so...
All the time I was playing Dragon Age Origins I couldn't help but think it was the game Fable 2 should have been. It's so much deeper, has a far better story, better characters. I was surprised at how much I liked the game. And that was on 360 which is supposed to have the worst graphics. But I still thought they looked nice.
Forget Fable, Dragon Age Origins is what Fable should be, can't wait for the sequel
