This place is so far up Sony's ass it's laughable, and that goes for the mods too. A pit of ignorant fanboys and nothing more. If Kinect is a $150 paperweight, then my PS3 is a $599 paper weight because it has **** all worth playing on it.
I got this the other day on 360 after not playing the Sims since the original on PC. It's a bit choppy frame rate wise, but I should probably instal to the hard drive to improve that. As the disk spins a lot. If you are after a proper sims game on consoles this is it. Once you get the controls down it's enjoyable. I would give it 8.5 so far after a few hours. That could easily go up to a 9 in a few days. If EA read any of these comments...

I remember the developers over at platinum games saying how they each have to dress a certain way so people know who they are. They are a pretty sad vain bunch. Mikami said he did not give a shit, but had to start wearing nice clothes to please the rest of them. He also has to wear baseball caps as that's how people know who he is.

It's scary but I've heard a lot of people complain about the stealth sections. I bought the game here in Europe on disk, but I've never played it past the first chapter with the undead police man. It did make me jump though. I sold it, regret it, and will try to get it cheap again.
I wouldn't say it's better than stuff like RE5 and Dead Space though, it feels like a PS2 game but has some nice graphics.
