Maybe I was expecting too much but I'm not all that wowed by this. When I first saw the Crash and Spyro remakes I was like "WOW!" But this just looks kind of meh to me.

That's completely subjective. It's a good game but there are several others I enjoyed so much more. RDR2 is certainly a beautiful game with interesting characters and dialogue, but I find it a bit of a chore to play. It's just not very fun IMO. And if you're not having fun, what's the point?
I dont blame R* for what they made nearly as much as I blame critics for showering this game with perfect 10's. Dont get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game but it has definite issues. It's certainly not a perfect game.
Destiny and COD have sold a crap ton of PS4's. They absolutely belong on the list. They are multiplat but they are closely associated with PS4 due to marketing rights
I dont give a rats ass whether or not it looks as good as the X1X version.
All I'm concerned with is it looking as good as it possibly can on PS4 Pro.

Dude Battlefield 1 is amazing! It's still worth it for the campaign alone.
I want PS5 for better framerate, higher quality textures, better AI, better draw distances, etc. I have a 1080p Panasonic Plasma and I plan on gaming on it until it gives up the ghost. 4K is actually what concerns me the least.
There will be a patch. Just wait and see.

I never give much thought to IGN's reviews. IMO Eurogamer does the best job with game reviews Imo. They give the most grounded reviews of anyone.

Agreed. The perfect 10's are just irresponsible reviewing. No damn way any game with mechanics this poor deserves a perfect score.
While I appreciate the service DF does, you have to admit it's a bit of a double edged sword. While on the one hand they do provide us with good performance data, on the other hand DF does help perpetuate the fanboy war. Still, I suppose that has more to do with the insecurity of individual gamers and not DF's problem. But it does get old seeing all the "runs best on X1X" headlines because that is a foregone conclusion now for every multiplat game that releases. It's...
The draw back though is Nintendo gets left out when it comes to most AAA third party games. If you're a sole Switch owner, you ain't seeing AC Odyssey, Read Dead 2, COD BOPs 4, Battlefied V, etc.
Nintendo can pride themselves all they want for their blue ocean approach but there are drawbacks. Switch is doing well for now but I guarantee you the Swtch has a much lower ceiling than its competitors.

Great game that continues to get better and better. Dynamic day/night cycles and weather would be nice and some more metropolitan tracks would be great too. Other than that I really have no other complaints. Just a very well executed racing sim.

Quantic Dream isn't a Sony owned 1st party studio. They are an independent 2nd party studio.
When it comes to PS5, I just hope Sony doesnt overthink it. They dont need to go in some new, radical direction. All they really need to do is basically give us in PS5 what they have given us in PS4, only with a significant increase in graphics and performance. This should be the most seamless generational transition ever. Just continue to crank out the killer exclusives and add the "no-brainer" features to PS5 that we all know should be there like full PS4 backwards compatibili...
