I see PS Now benefiting from Sony's library of legacy titles more so than PS4 titles.
I have a home theater. Why in hell would I wear head phones when I have a kick ass surround sound system? Oh and I can still talk to my friends without spending 100-200.00 on a head set.
Will not buy this game as long as it's subscription based!
Question, what is the obsession now with headsets and gaming? Serious question. After all the generations of gaming why is it now suddenly a big deal?
1.) A TRUE next gen engine! No more "bet hedging" by making these engines to run on both previous and current gen. I want a true, built from the ground up, impossible to run on anything but new hardware engine!
Because frankly the North American market is more critical. North America is the Xbox's biggest market and Sony could not afford to give MS another head start in the US like they did with the PS3. The Japanese market is already in the bag regardless. MS has no presence there and Nintendo is struggling badly with the Wii U. It was imperative that Sony get the PS4 on the market to compete with the Xbox One.
Glad I held off getting it.
You say that like you have doubts that Sony will deliver. Even though they have proven generation after generation after generation that they always deliver on the games! We've already been shown 1st party titles coming in 2014 like Infamous Second Son, The Order 1886, MLB The Show 2014, Drive Club, etc. Plus great looking 3rd party games like Destiny, Watch Dogs, Outlast, The Division, Metal Gear V, Alien: Isolation, The Crew, The Witcher 3,Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy 14, Project ...
I'm waiting to see this as well! I'm a PS4 gamer so that's what I'll get this game for if it turns out to be good!
Well then have fun with your 30fps Tomb Raider. You do realize that PS4 is outperforming Xbox One on multiplats right?
Yes, of course it matters. When you have one platform that's 100.00 less expensive and it outperforms another platform 100.00 more expensive on the same title, THAT'S a problem! If you're a gamer who's choosing between the two platforms, which one will you choose? The cheaper, more powerful console or the more expensive, less powerful console? It's pretty simple if you ask me.
Full retail price, plus 15.00 a month subscription, plus miscrotransactions! No thanks Bethesda!

Depends on the type of game. For sports, racing, FPS, and fighting games I absolutely believe that 60fps is better every single time due to the importance of precise controls. However for other genres like RPG's, action games, puzzle games, platformers, etc I don't think it's as critical. However if given the choice, no question would I choose 60fps over 30fps every single time! It just makes the games so much smoother.
"...but fails to trump the PC game in all respects. Certainly, when it comes to running at 1080p60 - or with even higher resolutions and frame-rate - no other platform can truly offer a PC-beating experience."
And it shouldn't considering what you need to spend on a PC rig to run Tomb Raider maxed out on PC. The real victory here is how well the PS4 performs at 399.99 in comparison to the PC version. Good luck building a 400.00 PC rig that will run Tomb Raider...
You're adorable!
The biggest thing that annoys me about EA is they allow the advertisement of their games to create the illusion that they are ONLY available on Xbox, when they're not! I don't know how many time's I've seen a Madden or a Battlefield commercial and it ONLY flashes the Xbox logo at the end! When EA stops taking those kinds of pay offs and gives both platforms equal exposure, THEN I'll start believing they're not in bed with MS.
Its not their gaming division that's the problem. It's their TV, mobile phone, camera, and PC divisions that's killing them.
Can't really argue with that logic. As a gamer, Playstation suits my preferences more as I much prefer story-driven, single player titles than I do the Call of Dutys and the Battlefields of the world. However what you're saying makes total sense.
