Diverse New IP AAA story focused 1st or 2nd party game is what made PS dominant.
After the PS3 gen Sony learned the wrong lesson thinking that online multiplayer game is the way to go with a few new IP in between.

Its pretty good if I am being hoinest. I hate gaas games but felt bad for writing it off from the start so thought to just give it a go.
Still not my cup of tea but I think those that love these games will have another good option

Yes by this time in the PS3 generation for example we would have Resistance 1,2, Uncharted 1,2, Killzone 2, Motorstorm 1, 2. Warkhawk, MAG, LBP 1, Infmous 1,2. Heavenly Sword, Valkrie Chronolicles, Demon Souls.
All amazing games that most were new IP's
PS5 gen while better than compeition is not anywehre near as good as previous PS gens imo
I honestly have no idea what game the reviwers were playing. Its an easy 9 out of 10 for me. Feels like Days Gone all over again.

I would buy it on the PS5. Halo CE is one of the best SP campaign I have played on console so would welcome a refresh on my PS5. Played it on my freinds original xbox.
As a long time PS fan I would support Halo as a franchise because its a good IP and it deserves much better than what it has gotten the last couple of years.
Thats good to hear. However still keep what made Witcher great. Story, charcters, meanigful side quests. Great gameplay, great graphics, great score, great voice acting, great value.

Sony really should not have these specific games on PC like before. Helldrivers and other Gaas/mp focused games should be the exception.
I have been on this site since the PS3 days. Been a hardcore fan since the PS1. PS5 has been compare to previous PS console is the worse PS gen in terms of AAA, new IP, story driven games.
Again why the whole Beth/Acti pruchase is stupid. Xbox last roll of the dice in the console war. The writing was on the wall since last gen but they still refused to face reality. Globally gamers are just not into them.

Yeah also its really for the PC/Online gamers. I doubt it would have made as much just being on the PS5. Also as you said its not a game that would get people to go out and buy a 400 plus dollar console just to play it.
I really really really really do hope they announce new IP single player focused games because AAA single player story driven games is what the PS is mostly about. Not PS plus or other gimmicks

DEI is basically the same as we are cutting cost here and there. We will look for ways to expand our appeal. We are looking for new and different prespective on how to approach problems.
