That was a long time ago though. I remember the heated wars over Gears and Uncharted with regards to graphics. Then there was the resistance when they both came out almost at the same time. Xbox fans celebrating Gears sales wins over Resistance. Yeah how times have changed

As a Long time PS fan I see no reason for that. Like I would get to enjoy it on my PS5 Pro and I would not enjoy it even more if others are not able to play it on their platform of choice.
What I would want instead is for Sony to greenlight new IP's or sequals to IP's like Killzone or Resistance or infamous which will be much better use of the money that would actually make a diffence for me rather than some stupid time exlcuisve crap.
I am still enjoying the PS5 gen but compare to previous PS gen its night and day.
I use to buy at least 4 games a month before but now its more like 1-2 and this is manily because PS first party exclusives have been few and far in between for the PS5
I will never for the life of me understand how Sony saw the last 4 gens they mostly won and thought that AAA story driven game + variety of gaming experience is not waht they really need but instead online games instead.
SOCOM, MAG and Warhawk are great Sony MP games but their bread and butter was and is still games like Uncharted, Infamous, GOW, Killzone, TLOU etc. Great to have MP and games like GT for variety but really Sony should never neglect their core that has seen...
