It is extremely hard to pick a best of MGS game. Even MGS2 while it is the weakest is still better than 99% of games out there.
Its hard to not put MGS1 at number one because it was the first MGS and even up to now holds quite well game play wise. Who can ever forget Sniper wolf or Psycho Mantis?

You guys still don't get it. The popularity and the strength of the PS brand has always been about the diversity you find on it.
It's about catering to many more types of gamers that will contribute and push the PS past all others.

It is good and sad at the same time. Shyphon filter, Legend of Dragoon, Colony wars, medieval, Jak the list is endless of loved ps franchise fans would love to get a new entry.
However if Sony did continue to rehash them it would also be sad like is the case with MS.
Yeah their track record of quality is unmatched. It is the main tenant in their brand and why it is unrivaled everywhere. They support their console the full span and they do their own thing
The other thing most people also forget is that Sony always push the envelope of gaming as a media.
You will always see them highlight niche/non mainstream games like flowwer or ICO or the Indies this gen.
