Seems like one of the must-own games of the year.
I am not saying that the PS4 is nothing but HD remasters. But it sure has a hell of a lot of ports from last-gen which doesn't help when trying to find it's own identity. When people ask me why they should buy a PS4, I don't want to tell them that it's because they can play prettier versions of games that they can also play on their PS3. There has to be more to it than that.
Over 50% of games currently available on the PS4 are also available on the PS3 and/or Vita.
But... consider for a moment, even with how great it is.... it could possibly be better? If I wanted content that was universally available on all generations of consoles, I'd be a PC gamer. That's why I'm not.
@Majin, I am well aware of that. I'm not blaming Sony. The article states that it is a collective dev mentality that is keeping us from truly and finally moving into the next generation. You can never fully enjoy or realize the potential of the new one until you let go of the past. Flower on PS4 is pretty and great, but it was a PS3 game. Same with TLOU. Same with any other devs. It's a lack of the leaps of faith into the new-gen by all devs that are causing this.
This has nothing to do with the "PS4 has no games". It has to do with, there are too many ports and games that were on last gen. Over 50% of the games are on last gen consoles too, which is sad.
Seems like a decent week, might pick up Spidey and Child of Light.
Seems like there was some potential but it just fell short, especially without adding any content to bring it to this generation.
I have to agree. My PS3 sees way more play time right now than my PS4 does.
I'm glad gamers are getting more involved in charities and good causes. It's great to use something we love for good.
Gotta love those fools day reviews! Thanks Mr. Goat!
Referring to Origins? Or City? Origins just felt like a sad clone of City to me. It was good, but nothing new at all. I'm glad Rocksteady is finally back at the helm to properly evolve the series.
I simply cannot wait. I already have wild theories flying around behind who or what the Arkham Knight is.
Rhythm games drained my wallet for a lack of significant value. I bought tracks for Rock Band just to have them and some I only played once or not at all. I'm not falling for it again Harmonix!
But... but... this is "Music Evolved!"
It's not a bad game at all, but it's like getting a bite sized portion of a meal you really really want.
IF PS4 games benchmark with this, I'll be a happy, happy gamer.
Great review! I agree that Cole's story never hooked me. I finished it, but it was blah. Delsin's story is so much better.
I like my games physical, but preloading is great for anyone going digital. Glad to hear it's coming soon.
Differing opinions by different people. Personally I am ashamed that I paid $60 for this title. I's definitely very much average at best.
