They could have added a simple feature that many people have been asking for a LONG time and thats the ability to appear online/offline to friends.

I wouldn't trust reviews on BF3 after the memo EA sent out to reviewers got leaked... Here is an excerpt of it.

If i download this DLC and lets say i had a brother who has his own account, he cant play it unless he buys/downloads it himself. DLC's / map packs ETC were NEVER like this before. I mean, for a MULTIPLAYER game i dont mind the graphics as much, they are "RESPECTABLE" and i will TRADE OFF better graphics for smoother gameplay and better MP.
How about the FPS genre is too saturated and games exclusives like R3 and KZ3 are niche games only the hardcore franchise fans will buy. The mainstream games will still be COD and BF.

Also casual and hardcore CANNOT be used to describe a console. There can be hardcore wii gamers too who come home everyday and dedicate hours on their game of choice, whether it mario kart or a game like wii fit, they are still playing that "game" "hardcore"
Funny how you say "looking at camping cod players" like people dont camp in other games. Obviously COD has the most campers because its the MOST POPULAR GAME, so by sure # there are more campers. If its any multi platform game its shunned upon
If its a ps3 exclusive for example UC3 recently, its alright and accepted, "the game is about the SP anyways" or "was going to buy it day 1 new regardless"
For the rest of the world, online passes are what will ruin the games industry and the MAJORITY of people dont like it.

$60 for portable games? plus tax here in canada you'll be spending $70. Sorry i consider my self to be middle class and thats too much for games on a portable system.
The real reason people have changed their tune is they realized the console version of bf3 (at least the beta) just proves how much of a superior shooter call of duty is.
But once Killzone 4 or some other sony exclusive shooter like Starhawk is set to release, people will go back to hating on COD and saying things like "cant wait to preorder ____ , better then cod". Once people stop playing those exclusives, Only to have the whole process rinse and repeat.

It pretty much goes like this, when people ask for a feature or complain, they will get shunned down by the elitists (fanboys).
when sony finally decides to offer that feature or address a complaint, those same elitists, will come to the comments section and say something like "wow, sony is an amazing company, its great how they support their system and products. All companies should strive to be like that"
this is what i want, when in game, i just want to access the friends list panel and the inbox (messages) folder. THATS IT. If sony can take the rest out and optimize the speed of bringing the XMB up faster when someone clicks the home button in game, id be a happy camper.
I mean almost everything else except for blutooth (accessories) requires you to quit the game to access, so why even have the option to scroll to it?
Games like uncharted and god of war specifically look amazing because of the ART DIRECTION AND PRODUCTION VALUE. Games like Crysis and Rage look good cause of their technical prowess of the engine. Different approaches but they both achieve amazing results.
Anyone remember a game called Okami on PS2? That game looked amazing, and that was because of the art direction not because the PS2 was some beast graphical machine.
Dont worry, here on N4G its ok to bash EA, but as soon as sony introduces this 'business tactic' for Uncharted 4 or some other exlcusive, you'll see
