I'd say the majority enjoy the trailers and reveals more than the awards. I personally enjoy the awards as just a bit of fun for an afternoon to watch with mates and a drink and see if any slipped through the radar that I should check out. It's good to see when there are awards for people that would usually go unnoticed.

I feel the same. I did like Origins and Odyssey myself but Far Cry 5 for all it's hype and praise it got online to me seemed like another reskin by the numbers clone of 3 and 4. Felt lile they made a deal about bot having towers anymore but then just left the gameplay loop as clearing camps that respawn amyway. Felt the coop was a bit tacked on aswell like it was in 4

ACG did say in his review that the game doesn't seemed to be optimized very well at all. I would expect a performance patch to follow soon after release.

Probably. There was a drover issue during the beta and reports of 1080ti performance troubles but that seems to have been fixed. There are some specific spots on the map that you get dips though which looks like its due to an issue with their map culling. Some areas you turn left and see things loading in front of you.
Im in the same boat. Runs pretty damn well and no bugs so far. I guess people want it to fail so bad that if you don't have terrible performance than you must be lying. Jackfrags has a pretty good review up for those interested.
