PlayerUnknowns Battleground concept was originally a mod for the ARMA series on PC which he created as a modder. It was on PC for years and they wanted to bring it to a wider audience so they created a standalone version for multiple devices. It's not new by any means, just that it was introduced to a lot more people who may have been unaware of it.
Star citizen used cry engine innthe earlier years but quickly became to limited by cryengine. They switched to Amazons Lamberyard engine which is based off the crytek architecture which made the project drag and drop with a better toolset and options.
How far did you get in the campaign and what would be a better alternative that people haven't played?
You finish the main campaign or stop before?
Looks like PS might of footed the bill for some marketing only. Multiple reports from GDC are saying that NMS VR is also coming to the PC.
"No Man's Sky VR brings the complete game to every VR headset on the market, from PS VR to HTC Vive. The game will land on Steam VR and PlayStation 4 for PS VR (with an exclusive physical edition as well as a digital offering) as part of the big, free No Man's Sky Beyond update due out this summer."

That comment sections is really digging into them. I don't care too much that you have the option to play as a trans-vamp living in Seattle with gender pronouns, so long as it doesn't get in the way of actual good story telling and creativity rather than feeling like a PC checklist of things they squeezed in 'cos'. Gameplay and story telling are paramount and should be first and for most for any RPG.
@Ruegrong
Yes from a monetary viewpoint they are seeing more money having a single buy point. I was more so refering to the launcher being exclusive. Metro still released pbysical PC copies. Can't say if tue future Epic releases will.
Side note: I'm not saying I agree with the whole epic thing, justvpointing out that exclusive to launchers isn't anything new and for those old enough to be around when steam launched will remember that people ...
Reminds me of when metal gear solid 4 launched and the long loading between chapters.

great stuff.
@Helsleycopter
Anyone else here old enough to remember when steam first launched and everyone was up in arms about having to use an online launcher for games? Steam caught a lot of shit on release too for what it was but I don't think many remember or weren't around then.
I am too and got on subnautica for free day 1. Great game.
On release it was. It only got over onto GoG well after release. Metro LL released in 2013 and didn't hit GoG until 2015.
Dead space 2 had necromorph children and babies. Still was much loved overall. So no, it's not crossing the line because they are 'undead' monsters. Context matters.
Earlier by 2 weeks and all users get all dlc. So no, it's not dividing.
Dragon age 2 was rushed out on EA's orders I'm pretty sure. Remember hearing a an interview on I think game informers podcast with an ex-bioware dev who said it took them 5ish years to make Dragon age 1 and get the systems working and after it was a success EA told them they have 1 year to make a sequel which forced them to just reuse assets and create basically only 1 play area and try their best to be creative with it as that was a near impossible task. I do agree though, I think th...
Or the 'toxic' gamer community
Oh my sweet summer child
There is also Atmos for headphones which is a software solution that works lile a codec to accept the atmos metadata.
Fpr home speakers you either need an atmos reciever and speakers in the room or an all in 1 solution lile the samsung Atmos soundbar series which has top firing speakers.
Good to hear. Have had Atmos speaker setup for a while now and Atmos content always sounded bounds above the standard 5.1 so seeing it expanded into more content is good.
Btw if anyone decides to google more on this. Its spelt spatial not spacial.
The thumbnail is of First4Figures new Psycho Mantis stature if anyone is curious to check it out.

Yeah, bad timing to release an article I guess but he has mentioned it in the past that he wants to move on to new projects and try new ideas while he can.
