Stop being a fanboy. Halo will move systems, so will the big hitters for sony, and I hate to tell you this but a simple price drop isn't going to doom the 360 as they can do it too. The fact of the matter is once all is said and done the most likely outcome will be MS and Sony holding almost equal market share. Thats the beauty of this gen, no matter what system you chose your still going to have lots of reasons to be happy. Thats why I'm going to own both (still waiting for the 360 hardware ...

bluebrad1974 the link you posted proves just what he was trying to get at, MS lacks Blockbuster exclusives past this holiday. I wouldn't have put Killzone 2 in there as its a very bad example and people really need to let it sit and wait to see what comes of it (remember Lair folks). Sony does have tons of proven consistent multi-million seller games coming, such as Gran turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Tekken 6, and Final Fantasy XIII. I believe both systems have a strong line up but you have ...

OMGWFTBBQ!!!! Metal gear vs. metal gear, super bad-ass Raiden, online play, and a BEER DRINKING MONKEY! There is nothing about this game that isn't uber so far!

they say a copy is never as sharp as the original, and in this case the original isn't much sharper than a bowling ball.

I agree with you Shadow Flare but to add to what you said SE owns sony a huge debt. Square would have completely tanked if not for Sony coming in and picking them up after the massive failure of The Spirits Within. Sony helped pay for further development and they agreed to handle distribution on there film when no one else would touch it after its box office flop. I would have to think that these up coming Final Fantasy games are their way of repaying this debt of gratitude to sony now that t...

What does it matter if they said rumble is last gen. people wanted it, so they just gave it to them. It really isn't any different than the 360 with HDMI. I think its a good thing that MS and Sony are paying attention to what we want.

I really hope its not something stupid, like a new megaman game or that they are making Street fighter II alpha delta sigma kappa supreme because we all know they love beating those dead horses.

I never really cared for rumble so I don't feel cheated at all.

honestly, when they pushed MGS4 back I kinda thought it had be due to rumble coming. I'm sure Kojima had access to info like this months ago and he has made it clear that he wanted rumble in MGS4.

It doesn't mean that costs have come down, if anything this is going to hit Sony's wallet like a sack of door knobs. They are putting greater faith in long term returns to recover these losses. More PS3s mean more blu-ray players so they sell more games and movies, thus more game and movie studio support and with it even more software sales.

IMO the reason the 20 gig didn't sell was due to poor timing. The people who run out and have to buy a console at launch don't want the downgraded model, they want the big dog. Its very typical of the "gotta have it" crowd. I feel this time around people we be much more inclined to buy a downgraded model as the casuals will start to take notice of the price as more acceptable for a Christmas gift.

that wouldn't cause the difference in price Uglygreen. HDD have very small differences in manufacturing prices so it would only account for a few dollars.

I agree that non-gamers seeing the hype and getting interested is a good thing, but I also think they have gone way to far with halo. I've received telemarketing calls trying to get me to buy it. IMO once you get to the point that people are getting bothersome phone calls for a game it starts to make people want to avoid it rather than get interested.

I haven't set foot in gamestop in 4 months and I got the call, one of my co-workers is a 48 year old man that does not own any console and he got the call. It seems they are going with normal telemarketing practices, not just people that shop there.

I don't care much for halo but what you said is just dumb

I got one and so did 4 other people I work with. This halo hype BS is getting way out of hand. I work at night and don't want telemarketers calling at 8 freaking a.m. to try to get me to buy halo

Its a real shame that you chose what games you play by the frame rate. It really is just retarded to think the game won't be any good just due to wether they chose 30 or 60 fps

The $199 players aren't going to help as much as you may think. The fact that its an off brand ensures it won't sell too great. There is a reason that Venture is an off brand and Sony and Toshiba are name brand. People prefer to pay a bit more for a brand name and have quality than save money and get something poorly made that may not even work in a year. Its always been this way and probably always will.

well in a fight some one has to lose right? so "at least for now" probably just means until one completely eclipses the other in sales and its no longer profitable to make the other.

I think kurt would be a great choice too. he has the ruff look and voice, and it would be a great inside joke for the fans.
