I like how you realize that Rico is supposed to be a single faceted character. Most people are retarted and think "Dur, all characters are should be deep and complex". Rico's job was to be a kill hungry ultranationalist who want's to "get some". In other words, a marine.
Kotaku's articles all seem really crappy to me.
Of course it was delayed. Aren't all games? The game industry is worse than anything else as far as delays go (that includes you, Boeing) I mean, just look at FFXIII. It's what, three years into this gen of consoles and FFXIII JUST came out. Wsn't that supposed to be a release title?
I always expect games to be delayed, so I was actually kindof happy when B:AA only got delayed for two months.
It IS mods like this that make me wish that I had the money to be a PC gamer. I wanna play this sooo bad, it's like battlefront meets COD
No, not every TPS is a GoW clone, but this looks exactly like it.
Anyway, Gears is IMPOSSIBLE on Insane, but not because of how difficult it is. It's just so Glitchy. Between randomly breaking into runs, AI's trying to revive me when I'm not really dead (they reminded me of Zack doing squats in Crisis Core) and starting split up missions dead (literally, I stated the level dead, on multiple occasions) it wa a miracle that I didn't break the disk out of frustration. And then, w...
"What about Final fantasy 7?"
Maybe because FF7 was last decade...?
As much as I would like to put God of War on the list, Devil May Cry was more influential, though not as good.
It's my personal opinion that Halo was the most influential game of the decade, and I gotta admit, the game still looks pretty, in an old kind of way.
I wish GTA3 wasn't on the list *Not a fan of Sandbox* but it deserves it.
@immortal
I think it's cute how you use metacritic as a reference for how good something is. Or reviews at all actually. Though I suppose it's better than the people who use game sales as a point...
Actually, I was looking at the upcoming games in 2010, and I gotta say: I'm really excited. Lately it's been ridiculous how many FPS's there have been, but in 2010 I might just switch my genre to third person hack-and-slash.
I honestly couldn't get through the DI demo...
but two of those are irrelavent to me. Vidzone, I'll check out, But I have a PS3 phat, so the Bravia thing not so much, and I don't ever get imported games, so that doesn't matter either. Though I suppose it is kindof nice to know.
Don't consider yourelf a gamer if you don't have one? What the hec kindof statement is that?
Anyway, that the fist Shooter award that I've seen KZ2 get. It was so polshed I think it deserved it, but I can't blame anyone for giving it to MW2.
As for UC2, if it improved on UC1, then it definitely deserved it. Can't wait until I get to play it.
Okay, If I'm such an F*ing idiot, lets look at it a differant way. If were just all the same, then why bother limiting ourselves at all? We are just animals after all. Hunters know too limit themselves, just like pedators do, so why do we need people who don't eat meat to tell those who do how to? If were just the same as any other animal, then we should be treated like any other animal. Were just the top of the food chain. I don't see PETA going out and killing wolves "because they brut...
I honesty hate animal rights extremists. From both a religious and a scientific veiw, why should I give two craps? It actually shows a disregarde for cultural diffrences; why should you force your views upon the canadians when that is clearly something that they do as a cultural thing. It's like Whale Wars. Let's kill humans to save the poor whales, that sounds like a gret Idea, guys. Greenpeace, PETA, I hate them all.
Even if animals do have feelings, they aren't sentient. If they wer...
this may be the first vg I've seen that isn't the whole "mindless sh!t got blowd up" type thing. I've been wanting something like this. Not day one (I've leaned my lessons with day one purchases of new IP's) but a definite look in. This is my most anticipated game of 2010
No challenge? And yet you mention Halo? And you forget aout the challenges of Hades, and do you honestly want Multiplayer for it? That would be crap. I can repect an opinion, but your arguments suck
The first one was fun as heck... as long as you playe it co-op. Single player, yeah it sucked. But this was one of my most looked foward game in 2010
I'm trying to figure out how they missed that one.
WET definitely should be on there, but I think they kind did that on purpose...
wii... just sayin'
"online components" doesn't neccessariy mean online versus, though it probably does, but if it is, then it won't be played. Like, at all. devs. stresss multiplayer way too much, and I don't think it'd b right for DS.
As far as the pacing thing, that might be a REALLY good thing. If visceral does it right, then the idea of it is to make the scarier parts feel all the more scarier. I personally wasn't scared in DS1, because I had butt-load of heath and a BA plasma cutter.
We shouldn't listen to anybodies list of disappointments, unless there big and well know, because, obviously, they couldn't be right unless they are big and well known. that's why you took the time to watch this video and comment on it. Because it doesn't matter to you.
Totally agree with the "sucky time to be a wii owner" by the way. I have a friend who just sold his wii and bought a ps3 and he's playing Killzone right now and couldn't be happier. Oh, and 360's lineup did su...
was a surprising choice, but I couldn't agree more. I think that the game is waaay underrated, and it truly shows what video games are allowed to do that movies are not. The 1984 reminiscent plot went over far too many gamer's heads, but it's still easily the best in the series for me, and also MY personal favorite game of all time.
Is why people call Shepard the "bad guy." Shepard was never the bad guy. The terrorists were the bad guys. Shepard was doing exactly what he was asked to do: tying up loose ends. Ones that could incriminate America. And not only that, but also destroying what was, essentially, a rougue unit (don't everyone forget that Price launched a NUKE against orders). Shepard wasn't the bad guy, the russian terrorist was and was to the end, the bad guy.
When the wii first came out, I knew about 7 people (myself included)who were in love with the wii and that it would revolutionize the industry. Today every one of those people's wiis lie in a corner gathering dust, and have been replaced with ps3s and 360s. Reggie needs to realise that no one really cares anymore, and that (for the most part) the people who buy games for the wii are not the ones who are into actual gams
@stewgart
I'll admit that the dialog did feel tacky at points, so yes I'll give you that. In fact, I want to argue with you, but youre right. THe problem, IMHO, isn't that RICO isn't a multi-faceted character, but that every one of your comrades isn't a multi-faceted character. But, at the same time, GG wasn't aiming to make your fellow marines into characters. The charachter they're developing is the Helghast in general. That is, in fact, the unique thing about Killzone in general (no...
