It will never do gears 3 numbers because gears 3 is a shooter on a shooter box, UC3 is among more options...And before any gets upset, I use to work for Microsoft, and am well aware of who they mainly wanted to target based of popularity.
BTW, UC3 has campaign, coop hunter, multiplayer, hardcore...what was your point with pointing out "modes"?
Great review, and the game does look and sound good on consoles...I just might make the easy decision and pick it up for $20 on PSN, I tried playing this back in 2007 when it first came out, but my PC cried.

I feel I'm not having as much fun online in UC3 as I should be. It's as if gameplay is off and not accurate. I play a lot of competitive online multiplayer games, but this game right now has an identity crisis as to who its really tailored to.
I say this because if they want it to compete with the big boys, it needs to be playable so big boys can compete.
Take out Driver, Rise of Nightmares, Fifa and replace them with Skyrim, Dark Souls, Skyward Sword and that would be my top 10 must play list...

coming from someone that has worked for Nintendo and Microsoft, and knows how this industry works, im not worried about anyone agreeing with me till they have been in my shoes, if the writer of the article can state their opinion, then so could i...why so defensive?
Hmmm, sorry played a bit of it, and it didn't feel anything like DOOM to me, but what would I know, I'm just a gamer that plays games for fun, not for paychecks...

Actually, I agree with you, 8.5 is great... 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 (8.5) 9 10 If people would really look at where a score like that lands on a FULL 10 point scale, its a great score and the fact that IGN does not hand out many 10s or even 9.5s for that matter shows it.

I trust Dice...I loved Bad Company 2, and have faith they will pull this game together. I use to game test for a few different companies, and there were many times it would come down to the wire with fixes just before release day.
Adding you and hopefully we can team up, when I'm not whimpering away like a puppy lol.
Gotta say, they really stepped up the art direction and level of detail from Demon's Souls, and I already liked it then!

I'm sorry but Uncharted 1 to me is more visually appealing than the Beta I'm playing. The lighting is better in BF3, I'll give it that, but practically everything else is better in a 2007 game IMO.
LBP2, Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, inFamous 2, Resistance 3. These are all exclusives I WANTED TO PLAY...Are you going to tell me otherwise?
