Honestly, I've put maybe an hour into the campaign so I might not be the best to ask when wondering about single player only, but I can tell you what I played I really enjoyed, and I feel they accomplished what they wanted to do with it. There's also a Co-op mode if your into that.

Picked mine up at midnight and played online 7 hours straight...I can tell you it is well worth the purchase for multiplayer alone, and much better than Bad Company 2 was. Theres many many more options for everything. I tried the single player for a bit as well, and it's a more realistic take on warfare, some over the top moments, but not bordering ridiculous like CoD has had post Modern Warfare 1.

I don't get why they said that...I picked it up at Midnight, then played for 7 hours straight even though I had to get up with my twin babies at 8 in the morning, blood shot eyes and all because I was too damn addicted to the online...and nothing, I mean NOTHING resembles CoD in this game.
They also gave Uncharted 3 an 8. So according to them, BRINK, UC3 and BF3 are all on the same level...

For the last damn time, it's been reported time and time again that VG charts are ESTIMATE and not actual sales figures, they even state that themselves. I only have access to what I said because of the company I work for.
Ya, but what I don't get is the fact that it looks like the campaign for BF3 is going to be criticized harshly when I never cared much for CoD's campaigns...Millions of people buy CoD for the online portion, I don't see why these reviewers act like CoD's campaigns have been at all interesting since Modern Warfare 1.

Have you played it yet? The console version is more than adequate and for the hardware its on, it does impressively well. This score is valid regardless of the system of choice.
