His "wish list" is pretty reasonable TBH he doesn't even ask for anything specific except a 64-bit universally addressable memory architecture.
1990? (when they published their first "game") I really don't think the industry got worse then...
@ OcularVision
User generated content =/= mods.
Did you honestly just use the fact that you could get different web browsers by jailbracking the console as proof that the system is open???
Once again you missed the point having a store with several departments =/= having the option of buying the same game from Steam, Impulse, Direct to drive and many more so you can shop around for sales and bargains.
PS3 is only a open platform compared to the 360 it's still a very long way away from the openness of the PC.
I mean where are the mods, choice of browsers, choice in online stores etc etc on the PS3. I mean if it was open Sony never would have sued Geohot...
Maybe it will come with the expansion *fingers crossed*
It's probably more an issue of having a hundred high end PCs in a room full of people plus alpha drivers. It's not a problem with the game (other than the fact it's probably using every resource possible) but a problem with overheating.
Also considering it's still an Alpha build and you generally don't start heavily optimising until Beta it's not surprising it's not fully optimised yet, not that optimisation has much to do with hardware overheating...
It went indie
The technical wizardry in Bioshock is mostly behind the scenes stuff it's more a matter of scope of the levels plus the speed the sky lines allow you to move around and the fact that all the "land masses" are constantly in motion. It may not be the most technically advanced but it mixes it's technical wizardry with it's art style so effectively.
Metro last light is close behind thanks to it's lighting but if we are talking pretty metro is let down b...
It really is a great RPG, great writing, interesting characters, a gritty fantasy world, stunning graphics and best of all shades of grey morality which isn't just good or evil. Sex scenes are optional except for 1 and is part of the character which is from a series of novels, it's not really a major factor in the game no more than Dragon Age or Mass Effect anyway.
They tried that with the first game and look how that turned out...
Some of those pics creep me out, especially the "DarkElfFemale"
It actually looks kinda ugly to me, just because it's colourful and has a comic book art style doesn't make it pretty.
Still the game looks fun can't wait to play it.
Farcry 3 looks prettier with it's colourful tropical setting. Technically Metro: Last Light has a certain dark beauty and technically blows just about everything away. But Bioshock: infinite takes the cake with art style and technical wizardry.
Oh a single GTX 590 is that all, well at least the game looks godly with that much power. My 5770 is going to cry if it tries to run it.
OMG even playstationlifestyle is trolling the PS3 now? What did Sony do piss in their cereal?
Buns of steel!
can't wait
You haven't played many PC games in the last 5 years have you?

That's because the Uncharted shot is a bullshot with offline AA and the BF3 shot is 1/4 it's native resolution.
for a real comparison (BF3 is Alpha Uncharted 3 is beta so closer to the final graphics)
