Why does it make sense for people who have superior equipment to be forced to have gimped versions of games? It makes no sense when xbots want ps4 ports to be limited and it makes no sense here. Video game parity shouldn't exist if the platforms they're played on don't have similar specs. Simple as that.

I can agree with this premise to an extent. People will disagree on this but the fact so many people blindly buy systems(namely xbox ones) just because they bought the previous system sickens me. As a person who had a 360 all last generation I can that under no circumstances will I own a system from a company that has continuously screwed me last gen. Paying for multiplayer was bad, but to force people have gold in order to use apps for espn3, YouTube, hulu plus, netflix etc. is astonishing! ...
This the reason so many huge companies end up abruptly dying. The development costs are so high that they can't afford to have AAA games fail which leads to a lot less chances taken. Ubisoft could be next if watchdogs and ac 5 sell poorly.

Removing items if anything makes the game more balanced. What casual players don't seem to get is that in a tournament setting, the goal should always be to remove as much random variables as possible and accentuate skill. Items does they opposite so the are removed. Simple.
