Thank you for this. Whenever you can, please post more impressions.
Exactly 1 of the concerns I mentioned about all this. Where previously constraints could push devs for ingenious optimizations, now lazy devs could chalk up low fps to "less powerful" hardware, leaving base hardware owners with the lazily optimized version…
So far Dragon’s dogma 2 is the one that impressed me. Might end up getting the game if I get the pro.
Though watching is not the same as playing, I’m still looking at comparisons, I want to be convinced, still not, I’ll wait for players impressions.
Been waiting for age of mythology. Spent so many hours playing it back in the day. Love that game.

Just so I’m clear on everything, we went from
ps4 pro old-gen to current-gen ps5 0.67 TB SSD + stand at $500,
to mid-gen refresh ps5 to ps5 pro minus stand minus disc drive + ~40% graphics + 1.3 TB SSD at $700.
Is everyone ok with that? Are we expecting PS6 to launch at $700?
True. & imo better than HFW.
Still love the old color palette. But for a $10 upgrade I’ll definitely eventually get it.
Once again can’t help but think of TLoUP1 overcharge.
My gut has been telling me I’m not the target audience & it’s not going to be Origins level of Dragon Age.
I have never wanted to be proven more wrong. Time to check trusted reviewers, fingers crossed.
The more they push digital the more I buy physical games. Lately I find myself willing to pay extra for physical copies.
It’s weird but there are places I prefer the look of the original, namely:
4:54
9:38
12:23
15:08
I think I liked the old unrealistic lighting…
Granted it’s definitely not on the same level as what you listed & my comment history says as much. Did I exaggerate? Maybe. But only because the source material holds a special place in my heart.
@Quejjyl
It’s coming to PS5 Spring 2025.
No, I hate the title because it’s a bad title & I love the movies so much, so it’s about respect to the original material. Even though I consider the first 3 movies to be the true great ones, they all ha...
To have brought back an Indy game then to have given it that title has got to be one of the worst decisions in game dev in recent memory, but I’m hoping it’ll be good.
Used to not be an option.
Still has bugs but still so good. 1 thing though, would’ve been nice to have complete dynamic UI, the gun/grab and horse icons and minimap are always on-screen.
I shouldn’t just buy because I like that type of game. That’s how you send the wrong message, that’s how you end up with a multitude of subpar games in the genre which could actually end up in killing the genre.
After years of gaming, I trust my gut, & it says I should wait for trusted reviews, which is exactly what I’ll do. That doesn’t mean I can’t bash on the game for things that clearly move away from what made DA:O great.
It’s Sucker Punch’s next Ghost game. That’s all I need to know to make my decision about buying it. My decision is day 1.
I think what is meant here is that 1st party usually shows off the full potential of the system, which there hasn’t been enough 1st party games to demonstrate that yet. I still think PS5 can do a lot without the need for a pro, case in point Astro Bot.
Can’t wait for this. Day 1!
