Your PS3 is already a computer.
All you have to do is download and install Linux on it, there are many websites which can help you with that.
Most probably that XP will not run as smoothly as Linux, since "Yellow Dog Linux" was specifically built for the PS3.
Finally, if you don't want to risk it on your PS3, try it on your PC, there are many on-line tutorials for Linux which can help you get started and learn about its many great features.

A number 1 console can only be an undisputed and irrefutable known to all and deserved one. And that is the PS2, no question about it.

Sure, digital downloads would be great and is the future but:
1. Exactly that, it will be the future, not the near future.
2. People will most probably download to burn on Blu-Ray discs later on. Few are those who don't keep a hard copy.
3. Do you really think Sony and Blu-Ray backers don't have something planned? Let's not forget they just won the next-gen format war people, because they PLANNED AHEAD!

This device is currently used for medicinal purposes for people with physical inabilities giving them mouse and keyboard control without even using any. Why do you think they incorporated it into games?

Sure, now you have no problem backing blu-ray, and as usual you were smart enough to make it look like you backed HD-DVD because you weren't sure about the next gen format, huh MS?
I just know one thing.
Microsoft did not know what to back and went for a losing format (bad strategy). Sony not only knew what to back, but were part of the creation of what everyone is going to use...(good strategy)

What is the point of comparisons if you're not going to show the best settings available for both consoles, and how can you ever think of not mentioning they were in default settings? moreover, what is the point of having a better setting if you're not going to use it!!!
