Just because a site has a different opinion than you, does not make them crappy.
It may not be to your liking, but just because a site simply disagrees with your opinion, does not automatically make them crappy.
That said, IGN does seem to be a bit inconsistent in their reviews.
Dead Space 2 - Will have a mild, possibly good, but not great story (multiplayer has been tacked onto it, single player will suffer).
Arkham City - Same prediction as Dead Space 2, except it will most likely have a good story, rather than decent. Also, keep in mind that not everybody loves batman.
Killzone 3 - Good gameplay, good graphics, amazing multiplayer, weak and cheesy story (if it's anything like Killzone 2, it will be).

Sorry, but Game Informer holds the title of most generous reviews this gen.
I'm pretty sure that IS the actual game I don't think we can be expecting anything decent from the story, I think the fun is supposed to be the ways in which you can crazily kill people, and get scored for it.
It's kind of like a multiplayer game, except you're toying around with bots.

EA used to be the bad guys, but they've really cleaned up their act. They are not without their flaws though (online pass ftl).
