$249 for a redesign of a 4 year old (closer to 5 really if you count the Japanese version) system is sofa king stupid. ffs, for $249 you can get a wii or 360 & 1 game or add $50 and get a ps3.
nice of Sony to put together a comparison page. looks like they forgot to compare the prices though...
Intelligible read. What many people don't understand is what you talk about in the last paragraph - devs simply would rather direct their creative energy to something new than toil over a heap of busywork (remaking a game). From an author's standpoint, a remake wouldn't bring in fresh material which would permeate into the playbase like a new story would.
As far as remaking ff7, I do see some sort of re-release(perhaps just upscaled)eventually , but a full-blown remake? I don't...
I'm getting pro for $30 as well, it's the least they could do with tuition how it is...
omg I hope that isn't the final design, looks like a phallus lmao
if anyone remembers the Super Metroid or Ikaruga endings..
@koehler83 What you mean the census? All that tells you is job distribution and other neat stats. iirc SE has *never* provided clear info about number of unique accounts vs. mules etc. but yea the game is alot more friendly as far as the grind is concerned, which kept alot of my friends playing for a while. sometimes I regret quitting :/.
They don't divulge clear player numbers, but according to SE it's around 500k(pretty liberal estimate imo). while it's not quite dead, the majority of people who haven't jumped ship yet will do so when ff14 is released.
They're more or less charging money for content that would have been a routine free update a few years back :/.
Sonic should be on the list, and probably final fantasy 11. After playing PSU, I have to agree with Phantasy Star though :/.
now if there was only a use for all the dupe items. increased regen on medic is welcomed though.
you can't have "top fps" and "of all time" in the same sentence without mentioning at least 1 id game, lol.
As silly as it sounds, I definitely prefer having a disc and printed material as a physical token of what I am purchasing, to just downloading the game. Also it looks better on my shelf lol. I'll be picking this one up.
Watching that teaser, I hope the game just has Sonic running very very fast throughs some cool biomes with catchy music. And I am hoping they omit the gimmicky characters, excessive vocal tracks, BEASTMAN, etc...
Reminds me of FFXI: Wings of the goddess expansion. $30 for recycled areas and 1 new job (not even going to count scholar, because it was so half-baked) and storylines which are just now trickling out. Pretty much the point when SE put ffxi out to pasture.
This turned into a keyboard vs. mouse debate. Anyway, I'll stick to my $600 rig instead of spending triple that to get a 25% performance increase. maybe I'll spend that much after college, lol.
Okay, before you have an aneurysm, I'll say the joke was that the system was supposed to be adult oriented, so they would sue "the pants off" of them - a joke comment for a laughable story.
*BUT* Microsoft could in fact sue this company if they used any semblance of the Xbox/360 image for profit and at the risk of tarnishing the existing image of the Xbox. The article says that some of creators of the sexbox actually worked for microsoft, which wouldn't bide well for them in ...
microsoft would sue the pants off of this company
really? I havent logged in yet... they worded it to sound like you get an existing hat. so basically 95% got a halo...
FF should definitely be there. I'm a fan of the series, but now the name is nothing more than an obvious cash cow for stories that are only tangentially linked at best.
