The vita also gave console quality games on the go at 39.99. Uncharted, killzone, assassins creed and new games in those franchises as well. At the time they were doing current console game quality with PS3, 360. Switch is giving you last gen games on the go, at 59.99 and mostly ports so far....
People have played it. And it is awesome according to them. It looks like the ultimate Mario game. Unlike the new super Mario games. This one actually looks like a AAA mario game.
All the advantages they have come from the games running with last gen levels of graphics. Horray Nintendo.
Say what you will about Sony. But they are the ONLY place that would have funded that game. And the last guardian was the most unique game that year. While it was just my number 2 game last year I don't think I'll ever see another AI character so beautifully brought to life. There are a lot of pets named trico right now. While the game might be forgotten Trico will always be bought up.
Ratchet and clank tools of destruction reviews were already making Pixar level game visuals claims. But it's probably a failing website getting people rilled up with a Sony jab on the headline so they can click on the article and comment on it. Still bothers me that mighty 9 got way more press coverage than the infinitely better azure striker gunvolt 2. If people want a good megaman game get gunvolt 2.
While the vita is an awesome machine it never had an awesome year of exclusives like the Psp. 2010 was my Psp year. Persona 3 portable, Metal gear solid peace walker, kingdom hearts birth by sleep and valkyria chronicles 2. If Sony can release a new handheld that matches the switch power, uses any memory cards and keeps the games at 39.99 then they might have a chance.
Being a Sony fanboy I never played Witcher 1 and 2. Yet I still enjoyed 3. There will be fun to be had with kingdom hearts 3 for Xbox players. All the Disney worlds have standalone story's anyways.
PS4 had madden, NBA2k, need for speed, black flag, battlefield, Fifa, injustice... The switch had Zelda. The switch had a awfull launch in the games department. Why are people still saying it had a good launch? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!!!
While persona 5 is the best persona mechanically... I'd still give 4 my top spot, followed by 3 then 5. I preferred the story and characters in 3 and 4. Also having no Lotus Juice in 5 didn't help it either. 😏
Awesome combat, playing in famous Disney worlds, best animations in gaming, great soundtrack... How could you not get the craze?
A playable Mickey chapter or more would be amazing. And definetlly get more people not into the KH characters into the game. While I would prefer axel, Riku or Aqua... Mickey would have more impact as a announcement.
It's unlikely it will come to switch. Nomura just said what he said so people will stop bothering him about a switch port. You're definetlly going to need a Xbox or ps4 to play KH3.
"Making console lose competition?" What kinda dumb phrasing. Makes it seem like the Xbox and ps4 are disappearing. Just like when the Vita died the 3ds lost the competition. As long as Nintendo doesn't release a 3DS follow up the Switch will be fine.
The Xbox people are dropping the ball. Sea of Thieves and crackdown are sub par visually when compared to horizon and uncharted LL. While those games might be good or even great, they are an awful way to try to sell the all powerful Xbox one X. They should have had a halo or gears ready for launch.
Maybe if battlefield didin't already go back to old school war. It's lost the novelty because of that. And with Destiny 2 and Battlefront 2 coming out It might not even be the best FPS this year...
A lot of people trying to nitpick this list. Even as far as saying Sweet Home is where RE started. So when we discuss the top 10 series that started on the NES do we discount Mario and donkey kong because they came out in the arcades first?
If Nintendo finally comes out and says there's no more 3ds support and says that the switch is the main focus... Maybe it'll get that huge 3ds audience to move to the switch. Whether or not they are willing to start paying for online and 60 bucks for games is another thing. And these 5 million switch units sold is just the wiiU fan base moving over due to it being completely dead. Let's not say it's a runaway success yet...
