If they truly want to have a better show than Xbox then I would also think they would show the hardware too. But they might be weird and think that would be information overload and it would eclipse the TLOU 2 excitement or some lame reason like that.

I would rather see KZ over Horizon myself but that would cause more disappointment for fans to see them not doing Horizon. Also the voice actress for Aloy has leaked that Horizon 2 is already in production.

The Demons souls remake is a very good bet. But I also heard that Bluepoint is also involved in bringing Bloodbourne remaster to PS5/PC. I haven't been spoiled on TLOU2. With only 2 weeks left I'm not going to change that. I personally owe it to Naughty Dog to play through it without any prejudice because they have given me one of the best gaming experiences of all time in TLOU1.

I think it's cool when a series of games have a misfit entry. It's nice to go back a play your favorite series and have a change of pace. For me it's dark souls 2.

The PS3 is my favorite console of all time, so no, BC does not play a role in that. But it was very disappointing that I had to wait until the price went down to get my own, and by then BC was removed. So it's not so easy to answer because the BC is a factor that drove me to the PS3 but it was taken out by the time I actually got one.

Basically Xbox is gambling on an unproven strategy that BC sells consoles. While PlayStation is doing a hybrid with what worked with the PS4 which was anticipate that people will eventually jump on board over time when they see the investment in a PS5 will suit their needs crossed with having BC with the most popular games and adding more as time goes on.
It's very very nice to have BC during the lulls of releases of the big next gen games. And it seems those lulls will only get longer next gen.
I don't know man, the PS3 cycle was crazy. The PS2 was still selling hard and games kept coming out well into the PS3's first few years so people had every reason to keep their PS2's hooked up. But I remember personally that me and my friends would have fighting game sessions of PS2 games like KoF 11, the KoF Orochi Saga, Battle Collesum, and play on PS3. PS3 made many PS2 games better.
