I think the story is great and worthy of the name last of us. But do you feel the story was better than Tlou 1? I felt part one was more emotional and to me that is what Tlou is at its essence. A thematic and emotional powerhouse. I felt that the themes were there, but not the compelling emotion. Tlou 1 made me weep many times, but I only watered once in Tlou 2 when Tommy is at the farmhouse and his eye is gone and is limping around crippled.

I think people would have total...

If you didn't enjoy re4 then you probably won't dig evil within.

Oooo yes. Forgot about that one! I never made that as part of my collection because it was HD DVD only and when it finally came to Blu-ray I forgot all about it hahaha.

I think most would say skip that and play evil within 2.

Well said. This could have been a full on ND emotional powerhouse if they made the themes into another game that wasn't Last of Us. It does feel contrived. But if it had been done with new characters in a new scenario within the TLoU universe it wouldn't have felt so contrived. Or like I said, a different game altogether.

But I still love Tlou 2 even if it doesn't hit as hard as part 1. I can't wait to play again when PS4 Pro is back in stock. Can't wait...

I would highly recommend a movie that is very much like Tlou 2 specifically but it's not post apocalyptic. It's about cycle of violence.

City of God. One of the best films ever. No zombies though.

I understand where you're coming from and you are correct about the media using it's position when it came to Days Gones Deacon. It was disgusting.

But these days the line between media and end consumer gets more blurry by the day.

So I don't agree that you are letting the average gamer off the hook so easily. I know that Ellie's sexuality is not an issue with you or me, but to certain gamers it really is an i...

Responding to our discourse above:

I can't agree that ND is putting personal politics in their games. There's REPRESENTATION, but that is not the same at all.

Think of all of the famous personalities who were GLBT. Elton John, Boy George, George Michael, etc. Was there some sort of paranoid takeover of the GLBT on entertainment? OF COURSE NOT. I think you have the same problem as the rest of the people in your camp. That r...

I'm sorry, but this is frustrating because once again I feel like I have to keep you on track. The argument here is about the game, not about how I present my opinions.

I understand that it's always best to explain an opinion but you need to look at the context right here. Tyler Durden wrote a huge comment and I completely agreed with it. I only added my extra bit. If you see my comments you will know that I always explain my opinions. T...

It's bizarre that some of the media hated Deacon for being white, straight, and male. And then some of the gamers hated Ellie for being a down to earth lesbian.

It sucks that we just can't keep the arguments about games. So many people need to bestow their own values when there is absolutely no need to do so.

Like how gamers criticize TLoU 2 for having a lesbian central character. Both viewpoints are deplorable.

I'm glad you know what an opinion is. So I have to now explain, every single time, that something is an opinion?

I have to always assume that you and everyone else don't know what an opinion is when they see it and I have to assume they didn't pay attention in school to figure this stuff out for themselves?

I'm sorry but I can't be your and everyone else s teacher. You should be able to know what an opinion is...

Gow 2018 combat is the most unsatisfying in the entire series.

2059d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

Gow takes a few things from Tlou 1. They're not all that dissimilar.

2059d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

If your pov is that Tlou 2 is a shell of it's predecessor than that is also every bit true for gow 2018.

There were no 10/10 experiences on PS4 at all this gen. Some come close. When I look back I won't think of PS4 as fondly as PS3.

I would still give the best story to TLOU 2. Gow 2018 is nothing but exposition. TLOU 2 still has it but shows way more than it tells.

And Gow tries to be the last of us with a father and child duo. this totally rips off TLOU1. SSM used TLOU1 as a focus test and it worked for them.
