If sony owned rare. They would have closed them down long ago. In fact I believe they would have been one of the first to be restructured or shut down. If Sony was so great in keeping studios open I'm sure zipper would still be making games as well as other they have closed resently
Sony went with cheaper parts because they cant afford to keep taking big loses on the console over time as they have with the ps3. In a few years Sony want to be able to see a profit on the console. It has nothing to do with install base

I don't appreciate games like heavy rain because it isn't one. it's a interactive movie with very little gameplay. usually with real games it's the other way around. i don't mind some QTE like god of war. but when a game consist of nothing but QTE and less gameplay. it's no longer a game.

Ms first party games doesn't have a online passes. Only publisher like Ea and others have it for their games. Sony charges a online passes for all of their first party games since last year. Which if you buy 6 or more used games does become expensive.
Please fo some research before claiming who charges for online passes and who doesnt.
After playing heavy rain imo their games wont be missed by me and it wont be a reason for me to switch consoles either or buy the ps4.

I agree a 100%. I want a system that does it all seamlessly without having to use different device. If I wanted a dedicated gaming system that just play games. I would get a 3ds. I do hope the next xbox does B/C.which would be a definite win in my book for me.. So I can get rid of my old console. I dont want too many devices hooked up to my tv since I will be upgrading my pc soon.

I dont think it will happen. Sony needs to convince people to buy their product outside of gaming consoles. Apple maybe losing steam, but samsung is starting to pick it up. Selling a few buildings is not going to give you enough money to buy either company.
Cities xl needs to be optimized. Once you reach a certain amount the game just slows down. Regardless of how much your pc can handle it. I have it and it pretty good. Just thats one of the major issues about It

A part of me wants to feel sorry for all these people going thru the problems with this game. but another part feels like these people should have known better then to get in bed with EA expecting not to get burned.
after reading many of the post from the forum. many of the people should have done research on the game before they purchased it. they would have known stuff was cut from the game and would be re-sold as DLC later. if people didn't learn this from ME3.
