IT DOES NOT HOLD THE OS! Just like your CMOS does not hold "Windows" on it.
That does not make any sense at all. Go be a moron somewhere else because a flash is used simply to store the basic boot code and managing hardware at a low level. You would not use 128MB of the Flash anyway which is why most of your electronics come with 128MB Flash.
Agreed fanboys rely on logical fallacy.
The only reason Hybrid rendering is used is because the hardware is not powerful enough to handle rendering things in real time. Everything in your game is rendered it is just pre-rendered as opposed to real time rendering which allows for the elimination of graphical anomalies.
Nothing about the Wii's "Special effects" are that special, any recent tech is able to do all of those. Now we never said it couldn't I was just saying the Wii can't ray trace and the PS3 is fully capable unlike your first comment.
Im sure you won't mind if I don't fix your comment and make it grammatically correct.
"I will play my Wii. I'll play it with: my [K]ids, my [W]ife, and my [P]arents. I'll also play legendary series that practically made gam...
Is this kid special?
PS3 and 360 can do it the Wii can't because it can't either live with it or go to your little home the open zone and complain about it there. Ya, it is amazing though.
Innovative?
AH my reply was rushed (good way of saying I was wrong :P). Apparently its a modified version of ext2 or 3, but we may never know what the original system is because of hypervisor.
Not proprietary its CFS. CFS is Cell File system.
Oh yea the mandatory installs take up 12GB. In case you didn't notice you are wrong.
I think it would be more respectful to talk to them using their name. Suker Punch.
I think people are forgetting that you can delete it afterwards.
Ya well mozilla has been in the browser business for awhile and has never ceased to amaze.
Because there are many articles that don't require educated comments to be made. I wish there were more of these.
TraceMonkey was faster then V8 before V8 was released. Though it will get faster if they do choose to use code from V8. Geco still needs to be improved. Which is when Presto engine is amazing, but it has a downfall, its Javascript handling will stop oldish computers in its tracks. Webkit is amazing but it is not as versatile as the Geco engine while it is amazingly fast. The Geco engine is in between especially now with TraceMonkey.
Specifically TraceMonkey which will smoke V8 in the javascript benches.
Yes the cell is suited for general purpose computing. The most important "feature" of a processor is crunching numbers, there you have it. You can run linux on practically anything. The only reason windows dose not run on other architectures because it has been on there for ever and it takes skill and time to create code that you can run on different architectures. Its much easier to stick to one and continue to develop for it. FYI blade servers use cells. Our current processors jus...

"We’re working on this for the current Extended Closed Beta. We are trying to get you guys into HOME before the official public beta.
We hope to have more information in about two weeks."
