The PlayStation 3 version has to be dumbed down so the Xbox 360 version doesn't choke to death with higher quality rendering. The rendering in The Getaway 3 are really exciting for the PlayStation 3 fans. We just hope it will pull it off.

Also the in-game footage of the Resistance 2 teaser trailer will be another great choice to own a PS3.
I find that hard to believe, my ps2 is still working great, had it since 2001, I have the original Xbox too, but the disk drive sometimes doesn't open lol.
@article
I guess that first review was true on that part rofl.
I suppose people should look at this about Blu-ray vs DVD read times (if you know about technology that is)

The people there at Beyond3D knows alot more than we do put togther, so it should make sense.
Not surprised it's last ROFLMAO.
They also said they had Microsoft engineers to help, but it looks like they're not doing a good job lol.
"The top engineers from Sony and Microsoft are working closely with the team in Edinburgh right now, helping us to fully leverage the power of both platforms"

It looks like people here seem to forget that Unreal Engine uses COLLADA, something created by Sony
"Game engines, such as Unreal engine, have also adopted this format"

I'm not sure what it is, or what it does, but I believe it relates to 3D stuff.
Now that you blind xbots say stuff that the ps3 is unable to handle Unreal Engine 3 is sadl...
Then I suppose it was from shoddy programming by Ubicrap, Uncharted looks and is better than it, and no doubt the best looking console game today.
The PS3's RAM is approx 4 or 5 times faster than the 360's RAM, it's more efficient with less latency, hell, it's even the best RAM out there, plus, PSM3 stated that the PS3 version is graphically on par with the 360 version and the frame rate is extremely smooth.
http://www.n4g.com/ps3/News...
Seems like the 360's inferior hardware is too weak to keep the game running at a stable frame rate. The PS3 ...
Your right, get them on the phone to Sega as they got the job done with the Valkyria game.
Exactly, I can just say the 360 stole the home button of the psp, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it!
Bots, this is coming from a different developer and these issues are similar with Saints Row which is also a GTA-like game, IF the 360 can barely handle GTA IV, then I dunno what will happen to it in the future.
@Wageslave
read this quote.
"And, oh yes, the shooting. Pulling the left trigger halfway on the 360 controller lets you aim a weapon freely, while a full pull locks on to the closest enemy or nonplayable character in your camera's view"
They reviewed the 360 version and copied it to the ps3 section.
Early multiplatform games were, that's because developers had no skills with the Cell (I think), but is there a lead platform for GTA IV?
"And, oh yes, the shooting. Pulling the left trigger halfway on the 360 controller lets you aim a weapon freely, while a full pull locks on to the closest enemy or nonplayable character in your camera's view"
So I guess they definitely previewed the 360 version? rofl.
Deal with it bots, your version is having problems, and it's not our fault lol.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the early and present?? previews based on the 360 version?
hmm, but the ps3 has 256mb of XDR RAM clocked at 3.2Ghz which is blazing fast, much much faster than the 360's RAM, so I wouldn't think these issues would affect the ps3 version, if it's used properly.
Hmm, interesting, the GTA series never really had a good frame rate anyway, can someone mind telling me what the pop-up issues means? :S, I think Mass Effect has them.
@below
Nice info, thanks.
I might pick up this game when it's released, the 360 version runs so awful it's almost unplayable.
Well they have, what other exclusives for the 360 are worth the hype? I DO own a 360 thank you very much.
The Xbox 360 is starting to see it's limitations, Rockstar WILL say that both versions are identical, they want to make money of both versions, that what's business is all about.
Having EDRAM on the 360 didn't help Halo 3 reach 720p or get any Anti Aliasing now did it!, Mass Effect suffers bad frame rate during gameplay AND cutscenes, it has terrible loading times, bad tearing issues, even texture loading AND ALL THE BEST DEV TOOLS WERE AVAILABLE TO THEM AND HAVE BEEN FOR THE LAS...
