It's because the PS3 has so many games coming, they have to delay some titles, so they don't bump into other's releases, therefore affecting sales.

You do know the 360 can just lower the resolution to increase framerates and scale it back up to a native 720p using it's hardware scaler?, directly cheating it's way to get better framerates than PS3 in multiplatform games...

Halo 3 is a prime example for doing this...

Oh yes, DirectX 10 IS possible on consoles, especially PS3...

The PS3 doesn't even use DirectX, and instead uses OpenGL ES 2.0, which is currently upgrading to Mt Evans, and that is actually better than DirectX 10, the RSX can go upto 128bit HDR, whereas Xenos can only go up to 64bit, and the RSX, not only has it got 128bit HDR, but with the equivalence of Shader Model 4.0.

So we can't be sure the RSX is just a G70 or maybe a G80, but Nvidia themselves say the RSX is...

ROFL, if you want a game that is going to show the PS3's full potential, then you would want to think Killzone 2.

KZ2 is really pushing the FLEXiO interface of the PS3 architecture, you honestly think Haze would do that aswell?

Everyone knows the PS3 is obviously more powerful then when a developer say's they are going to max out the PS3, then it's referring to more sales.

Many people complained about Halo 3 resolution is because it was a first party game and they had all dev kits available, Haze is 3rd party, I doubt that Free Radical were even using the full power of RSX, the Burnout developers confirmed that in a podcast.

hmm, this resolution sounds ok, because the PS3 can do that resolution native (look on XMB display setting), it can't do any of these crap numbers like 520p, 640p etc (GTA IV, Dark Sector) native, that can be done on 360's hardware scaler. Software scaling just takes power away from running the games, and it also takes up a whole SPU, so why would Rockstar or the Dark Sector developers do that with the PS3?.

It's a difficult task, but you need to install linux on PS3 I believe, then you can stream let's say...Crysis from your PC to PS3 and you can play the game.

He counts the pixels by zooming in on a grid sample and extrapolating it, then calculating the Rendered Resolution.

So we have these shots that are from camera Screen Shots taken externally from the TV Screen by whoever sends the Pictures to him, to be calculated. It's not PS3 natively rendered resolution to the Screen.

The PS3 can only do these resolutions in games NATIVE

576i/p
480i/p (on SDTV's)
720i/p
1080i/p
