Sony knocked off Sega off the console game... Not Nintendo
Shocking absolutely noone.
You are stupid.
@jivah I didn't say it was the highest crowd funded game ever. I'm well aware of Star Citizen. I said it was the most successfully funded KICKSTARTER game, as in the Kickstarter website. Which it is.
Not saying it could've made the 10 million. However numbers don't lie. The Kickstarter lost all momentum and got stuck in a rut once those articles started coming out.
@Death
Even with selling only 400k on an ailing system it ended up being the most successful game kickstarter of all time. That proves that the interest is there.
This game could've made so much more of it wasn't for the misinformation smear campaign that stated Sony was secretly funding the game... I just hope it gets enough funding from somewhere else to become the full game it had the potential to become.
Bad News Baseball was my favorite. Hitting the ball out of the planet was awesome, lol.
Mediocre!!!
It's sad that this kickstarter lost all momentum thanks to a smear campaign by haters.
I remember when my local EB was taking pre-orders for MGS4 for Xbox 360.

Dark Souls 3 fans? What are they? Fans of how the game is being developed? How can you be a fan of something that isn't even out yet?
Art direction is the key. If a game has good art direction it's gonna be timeless.
This is old news.

Opting to appear at Paris Games Week instead.
By Luke KarmaliSony has confirmed it will not be holding a press conference at Gamescom 2015, and will instead announce new titles later in the year at Paris Games Week.
A Sony spokesperson has told IGN the decision was made due to the proximity of E3 and Gamescom, before emphasising a more...
Now the average game has a tutorial and takes care of backstory in game. Not to mention a lot of games fit into genres that have tried and true formulas that you don't need much to get you going. For example, I doubt all that many people need anything more than the button layout to play a fps. I'm gonna go with the people who say nostalgia is the moving factor here. Also, now a lot of games have online manuals. Objectively speaking, nowadays a manual is barely more than a waste of pa...
Then Nintendo completely discounted its fans. They were so focused on wanting your grandpa to be able to play that they alienated their original fanbase. Now with the WiiU they are even worse. They insult us by making crap like a Metroid Prime sports game that has nothing to do with Metroid and then tell us to trust them that we don't know what we really want.
So Nintendo let's us down.... Then blames the fans for "not getting it"... AGAIN. They took a futuristic sports game and just slapped the name Metroid on it. Maybe it's a great game. But it's NOT a Metroid game. It has nothing in common with Metroid. So fans who were expecting a REAL announcement have every right to be pissed and feel cheated. Keep alienating your fans Nintendo.
I think it started as a sequel but then turned into something else so they could go multiplat.
It was released last month everywhere but North America.
"After hours of reading articles and watching interviews of No Man’s Sky I’ve realized that it’s really just a BIG taco shell with meat, but lacks the lettuce and sauces to give it an amazing flavor."
Professional journalism right there gents. Translation: Haven't even played the game but I somehow know what I'm talking about.
