For me it's because I don't like the space old consoles take up. So being able to buy a new console and play the old games is great. Honestly I understood not having bc during cartridge era but once we reached disk era I honestly feel it's pretty unacceptable to not have it. I'd like to have both choices of old and new games but that's just me.
I'd much rather have HDR in my games then 4k to be honest. HDR makes everything pop and it's a beautiful thing. HDR is where it's truly at and I wish they were hyping that up more then 4k this and 4k that.
You know that you don't have to buy a console to just play launch games right? A lot of people are buying it to play spruced up games that they already play. Cyberpunk is part of the reason I'm buying one when it launches. But I'm also buying a ps5 and the only launch game I'll be playing is demons souls which is an 11 year old game. So it's just old games all around I guess :).
Well you won't find any of that during hot chips. It's not the place for video games it's the place for hardware.
Honestly my biggest concern with expanding the ps5 as of right now is if they have more than one slot for memory inside it. Like xboxs is great because I just plug it into the back and we're good to go. But noone has seen the inside of the ps5 so if I want to expand it do I need to take out the old harddrive to put the new one in? Seems a little counter intuitive. Unless the harddrives they make for the ps5 are going to be 2 or more terabytes.
External drives will not be able to play ps5 games though. So you have to buy a m.2 drive for the ps5 games. Which annoyingly makes sense but much like microsofts solution it will not be cheap.
I am aware that they design console hardware differently then pc hardware. Large reason for that is because currently consoles are a closed eco system so they make everything to work in conjunction. I understand all of that but I think people should just keep their expectations in check and that is including any expectations of how the series x will handle no loading screens. I think that the loading screens will just be masked better along with being short. Load times will exist. I have a NVME in my pc and loading times are still a thing but granted they are considerably shorter.
If you're looking for a new 4k tv I would highly recommend, if you have the cash, picking up a LG oled CX. I replaced my old qled and the difference has been night and day. Everything on it looks so freaking good. Plus all 4 of its hdmi ports are 2.1. It also has some of the best, if not the best, input lag.

I'd recommend the LG honestly. I enjoy my samsung but I've had many problems with it. Sometimes it'll just cut out and come back. The UHD won't work properly. It's been an unfortunate investment.
I hate to say it bud but you truly are wrong. Even a quick Google search and Wikipedia will tell you that mgs1 is a follow up to the story of metal gear 1 and 2 from msx.

If you're referring to Metal Gear Solid it is not a remake of metal gear on the MSX. They are indeed different games. They take place in different times. So this would be the 2nd time they've remade it if they do. The first being Twin snakes on Gamecube.
Cheaters and hackers don't really exist if at all on the new consoles. It just isn't really possible. The only real cheaters are people who use xim cards so they can use mouse and keyboard. But yeah on ps3 and 360 cheaters were everywhere due to how easy it was to hack.
As someone who plays warzone on pc the cheaters suck. I don't blame people wanting crossplay turned off. However I don't think crossplay needs to become the devil. The biggest reason cheater...

I prefer my Xbox over my ps but I'm not criticizing their controller when I say it looks like a Xbox controller. I love that. I hate how small the DS line was. So a controller that looks easier to hold is so much better. But people are right it doesn't so much look like a Xbox controller as it does a mad Katz controller.
Yeah I guess size has to do a lot with it especially because it's a branch out from the norm for them. I'll hold my enthusiasm over the built in microphone because I have a feeling it's going to be pretty bad. I'd rather it didn't exist on it and no not for any conspiracy reasons. Again it's really just preference. I don't think a controller leads the market at all for any system. Maybe I'm just indifferent to hardware. I don't play the system because of the hardware. Also to be fair no one is leading yet for next gen because sales haven't happened. Realistically controllers are just preference but I wouldn't say sony is leading the way in hardware design based off their controller. Arguably it just looks like they melded the ds4 and a xbox one controller together. Not complaining about that but again I wouldn't say it's leading.
I'm a gamer and wish it had complete bc. Thanks for speaking for me though I guess. Like what's wrong with having the ability to just play the whole entire collection of playstation games? If it had the entire collection available to play it would be one of the best consoles period.
