Honestly I'd love game pass on my ps5. Especially if it allowed ps5 developers to use the adaptive triggers on the controller for games on gamepass too that would be heaven. But alas that is probably a pipe dream. Either way I don't think it's really bad business for sony. I think it's actually "worse" for microsoft if they allow gamepass on sony consoles. Think about how many people would just buy a ps5 and gamepass instead of a xbox...

I'm not moving any goal post calm down. They can't MAKE 3rd party devs do the upgrade path. It exist for them if they want to do it as you again can see because the digital version utilizes it. First party games do use the free upgrade path. This is completely on 2k. They are choosing not to have a free upgrade path for people of the regular disc version of the xbox one copy.
Or Xbox owners can just buy the 70 dollar version that has the upgrade and it'll work on any of the Xboxes. Also don't try and paint this as a Microsoft bad thing. This is purely 2k being greedy. Which you can see because the digital version has a free upgrade path.
The amount of people that are just willing to pay is mind boggling. Like when the competition is giving free upgrades why is it that they're not clamoring for Sony to do the same?

I'd suggest getting a better wireless mouse. I use one regularly and I've switched between both and there is no discernable difference between the lag.
Nah 100% this kind of stuff also happened when they weren't merged. The guy who is listed by name the alex person joined blizzard in 2004. The merger didn't happen until 2008. Also even though they're merged it doesn't mean that the studios took on people from either company. As far as I can tell all the studios just kept the same people and didn't really branch. But you don't have to use it.....like the amount of people that have an issue with this is astounding to be honest. I think it's cool that the options there. Plenty of people want to or already do enjoy playing games and now more people can without getting frustrated.

But are you ok with Sony gate keeping modes of games behind a paywall? Or exclusive third party games being timed exclusive? I honestly would rather either company just straight up own the developers then do any of the things above. Because then at least I know how and when I can get a game. In a perfect world there wouldn't be any of this crap but we don't live in a perfect world and they're both businesses.
Have you tried VR? I was super skeptical at first and then I managed to get my hands on a headset and it's so much fun. I've modded skyrim vr to the point that I can walk in place and my character moves in game so it's like I'm actually moving through the world. It's such a fun experience and I personally recommend every one a VR headset if they can afford it.

For me I will buy dlc and cosmetics for games that microsoft owns because they won't be going anywhere. But for sure the others that can come and go I usually won't.
And yet we have games like the outer worlds that look great and run amazing on current gen that they made for the switch. So I guess you're right underpowered consoles hold games back.

It is still the new standard. The new nvidia cards all have it and sure only a few tvs have it but standards have to start somewhere and this is it.

Yeah it's a shame it doesn't have wifi 6 honestly. However to get a real world use out of that download speed is just not realistic now or even more than likely before the next systems come out. But I agree don't understand why it isn't there.

Hdmi 2.1 is the new standard going forward though so we should be talking about this. It should be at least 40.
It is doable they just chose not to. Pretty much every vr game on pc, that isn't quest specific, works on every major headset available. They all have different controls and specs. So how is it sony can't make it work from one gen to another when it's literally their own hardware? More than likely because they don't want to and it let's them double dip with remasters.
