Re: Your blog
blah blah blah Deal with it..blah blah blah
LOL you're cool. What are you, 12?
Blogs don't have topic exclusivity. Contributors can write whatever they desire, even if the topic was already used. I'm sharing my opinion on the subject and if you can't accept that, then tough for you.
While my opinion will seem biased as I am a huge Tomb Raider fan, I do need to point out some things about your blog that are just wrong, and I'll apologize for my bluntness in advance.
Saying that Uncharted didn't copy or take anything from Tomb Raider is rubbish. Uncharted took inspiration from Tomb Raider as Tomb Raider took inspiration from Indiana Jones. Your piece acknowledging that Uncharted took inspiration from Indiana Jones and denying that it took any from ...
I have to say, I'm actually glad that Tomb Raider seems to be taking some notes from the Uncharted series in terms of the cinematic style action, but to be quite honest, that is the only blatant similarity I've seen.
As I said in my previous blog on Tomb Raider, I'm worried that Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics won't pay much attention to the critique they've received previously in the Tomb Raider franchise, because this is a reboot. However, judging by th...
I haven't spotted any, to be honest and that's what I'm a little disappointed about. While the game appears to be open-world oriented, we haven't really been told just how open-world it is. That worries me. While a lot of the older games, Core Design era, weren't as linear as Legend, Anniversary, or Underworld, with the new game being run on Underworld's engine, it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine it being similar to the game in a handful of aspects.
Dear God, it looks brilliant!
Have you considered that perhaps BioWare thought the ending was fine? Maybe there was a dispute over the ending at the company, and the lead designer went ahead and published the game anyway, and now he/she realized they screwed up and need to change it.
BioWare isn't bending over backwards to change it; it's just [optional] downloadable content that changes the ending. Are you seriously complaining over a company actually listening to their fans? Ridiculous.

Max Payne wasn't ruined because of a cover system. It's a modern feature and a very realistic one at that. Having to strafe left and right while shooting at enemies is just stupid. Before the cover system was implemented for the first time, no one much thought of strafing previously. Now it's a staple for most shooters. Nothing wrong with that.
A poorly written article by a bunch of ass-hurt fanboys.
BioWare's decision to release downloadable content to change the ending of one of their games isn't devaluing it--it's a direct and considerate attempt at pleasing their fans. There's nothing wrong with that. While I do agree that a video game is a video game, and if you aren't pleased with a certain one, move onto something else. But the ending of Mass Effect 3, according to some gamers, was seriously lacking, and BioWare is making an attempt to please their fans, which I...
Yes, I've heard numerous things about Dragon Age before I decided to get into the series--luckily for me, I'm not easily influenced (not saying that you are, lol) by the opinions of others, I tend to just take it with a grain of salt. Something told me I'd enjoy the series, and sure enough, I do.
I can't blame you for not being able to get into either series--both have gameplay elements that don't really whet the appetite of some gamers, and that's und...
Regardless of whether you think it would work or not, there's no harm in adding the option. Furthermore, I fail to see how it wouldn't work--being able to remove enemy indicators from the minimap would add realism. You'd actually have to figure out who's shooting at you and from where, opposed to just looking at the map and knowing instantly.
The only thing I agreed with in that article is the option to remove enemy indicators on the mini-map.
So in other words, they want to copy Activision and further ruin the James Bond games by modernising them and turning them into espionage Call of Duty spin-offs. People like this need to be hanged for ruining classics.
Some bits were hilarious while others were "meh." Made me want to get back into multiplayer though.
Direct sequel to the events of Max Payne and Max Payne 2? No. Continuation of Max's journey? Yes. It's clearly not a reboot, as he wouldn't be the age he is and the setting wouldn't be described by Rockstar as "two years after the events of Max Payne 2."
Good. I proper can't stand Activision and I'm glad to see one of my favourite bands take charge and fight against someone doing them wrong. Having read the article, Activision's claim that No Doubt did not exercise due diligence before entering into the agreement, saying it is "publicly known" that characters in previous Guitar Hero games have been "unlockable" in the same fashion, is utter rubbish.
It's a reboot showing us Lara's FIRST adventure, chronologically (if you want to be technical) before the original Tomb Raider game in 1996. So Lara Croft isn't anything yet--after her experience on the island, she becomes what we all know and love.
