I continue to fail to see the issue with that statue. I would have loved to have one. I think it's interesting and original and definitely an awesome piece of zombie art. The torso is in a bikini because it takes place on an island. It's bloodied and mauled because it involves zombies. So what?
Within your blog entirely, you've contradicted yourself left and right. You say that you're insulted because Deep Silver thinks you'd want something like that. You ...
People have been blaming video games for violence long before I was even born, and it seems to be getting progressively worse, as the media seems to be completely unable to blame what needs to be blamed: people.
There's quite a difference between defending and camping, and camping is a universal similarity across all FPS competitive games, including Medal of Honour and Battlefield. Defending your zone involves staying in the area and observing the surroundings, doing what you can to sabotage the enemy, usually before they get too close.
Camping, however, involves choosing a spot where you can't be side-winded or have someone come up behind you--usually with your back to a wal...
Well said. Not to mention the obvious: when was the last time a criminal actually followed the law? Just because a new regulation is in place doesn't mean people who really want a gun won't go down the illegal route as they have before.
It must be nice to be rich enough to just shell out $700 like penny change.
Aw! :)
Thank you, coolbeans. I'm truly honoured. I do try quite hard with my reviews, but I'm still shocked, LOL!
Ha, I loved Brucie in GTA 4.
I agree entirely. Good on you for bringing this to the community's attention. *thumbs, and bubble up*
I won another one? Is this real life? :D Congratulations to everyone else as well!
Normally, I'd have suggested to post this on the forums, but considering the significance of the issue (and how little traffic the forum receives), I'm glad someone brought this issue to light. I wasn't even aware of it, myself. Excellently put, SilentNegotiator.
While I find this to be a pretty interesting concept, I just can't wrap my head around having content featured. Would it be highest-temperature articles showcased in the episodes? If so, we users can easily read them ourselves since the highest temperature submissions usually make it to the top of the page. :)
It seems pretty redundant to have a recap, so to speak, of articles that a majority of the community has already read by the time the week's episode goes live....
Wow, that's unbelievable. I actually got matched up with him once before and he was a pretty cool dude. I had no idea he was number one on the BO2 leaderboard. What an absolute shame.
I remember learning of Agent back in 2007. Quite a shame that we haven't heard anything yet. If you ask me, Rockstar has had too much on their plate and starting Agent might have been a mistake, since we won't hear anything about it for quite some time more.
As for Watch Dogs and Rainbow 6: Patriots, it would be nice to have some amazing games already prepared for the next generation consoles...but I want them now, darn it!
Very well said, sir. While I don't enjoy a game that holds my hand through and through, I found myself unable to even get into Demon's Souls because of its infamous difficulty and I haven't given Dark Souls a go yet.
But I definitely agree with you on the accomplishments point. I don't feel accomplished when a game basically guides me through a task or mission. Even with open world RPGs for instance like Oblivion or Skyrim--I refuse to use the objective marker...
Get well soon, Cat. I hope everyone is well.
I would love for the next AC game to take place in China. That ought to be interesting! :D
Well written review, as always. I'm glad to know I'm not missing out on much, despite my insatiable urge to play as a female assassin for once.
That's wonderful, but I really don't care about your opinion.
Well I'm sorry you feel that way. No one is forcing you to read it, so please don't waste your time doing so and please don't waste mine with inane commentary from the peanut gallery.
I fail to see how it's at all logically offensive. I do not believe anything was being sexualised. It's a statue of a mutilated corpse, because it's a zombie game, and the corpse is dressed in a bikini because it takes place on an island. What is the problem?
Would people start feeling better if the statue was instead a man's torso?
